  1. Give your buildings some MAMMOTH POWER! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJcMetFVemc (@Admins - This glitch isn't really a game-changer, but let me know if you want me to remove the video)
  2. Didn't think anyone still played this. Anyway good luck with your problem
  3. Whoa what a coincidence, I just played Dune Legacy and completed the Atreides campaign yesterday after coming across Frank Herbert's book... no bs! I even changed my wallpaper But anyway, I'm not sure how or why you've got black borders in your game, but I'm guessing it's due to a screen size issue; maybe the screen resolution you chose isn't the same dimensions as your screen? I don't know, but here's my screen settings: 800x600 Zoomlevel x2 Scale2x Full Screen Double Buffering Also, I have a 1920x1080 monitor. Dune Legacy also allows multiple unit selection, as well as grouping units into numbers, multiplayer support (online or vs AI) with different match options, custom maps, map editor, replay recording and several other neat features. Dune Dynasty allows you to zoom in and out during matches and also allows for the right mouse buttong to scroll around, and maybe other features that Legacy does not have, but overall, Dune Legacy has far more features than Dune Dynasty. Dune 2 The Maker isn't complete (and probably never will be afaik). All I can really remember about it is that I never liked the new look compared to the original. Dune The Golden Path is another notable Dune project, but only supports multiplayer (online and vs AI). It still gets updated from time to time and last time I checked (about 2 years ago) had an active online community. (Sorry, I got a little carried away with my response , I used to be a big fan that's all).
  4. I dont think so, im pretty sure its something I would've tried. Nice sig Athena
  5. Electronic Arts released the following games as freeware for these reasons: Tiberian Dawn - to promote the release of Tiberium Wars (2007) Red Alert 1 - to promote the release of Red Alert 3 (2008) Tiberian Sun - to promote the release of Tiberian Twilight (2010) TD and RA1 were supposedly released to mark the 12th and 13th anniversaries as well, but I don't believe that, yeah right. Red Alert 2 was actually 'free' as bonus disks with Red Alert 3 (only pre-ordered copies I think, I've forgotten now) So, going by all that, I'm guessing that the next C&C game (probably RA2) to be released as freeware will be released when (or if) EA decides to develop another C&C product. Either that or when some rich dude that wants RA2 to become freeware decides to buy the rights from EA .
  6. Yeah that's it! I remember that Lands of Lore picture and those bullets on the CDs (haha CDs)
  7. My RA came in a red box, and I played it on my Pentium 100 MHz . Wow, what a nostalgia overload... good times.
  8. Cool (pun intended). Which map is that?
  9. Oh yeah it is too, I forgot about that file.
  10. Good thing you can still download this manual from HERE because I don't have mine anymore (come to think of it, I don't even remember having this ). But I wish I'd kept all my documents and game boxes and stuff now
  11. See if you can find the nude woman hidden in these photos:
  12. I installed and played this for a little while just now - nice mod. Clearly a lot of work has been put into this and it has a lot of potential. A 'full version' was released earlier this month, but to me a RTS mod isn't complete without a campaign (hence the inverted commas). That aside, it looks and sounds like the original Tiberian Dawn. The 'feel' isn't quite there yet though. Here's a recent video of it (not my video): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIirsu_9wYs
  13. Oh right, I get you now. At first I was thinking; "Aren't all YouTube videos online ???". 'Till I realized you meant online matches
  14. I'm trying. I learned a lot from that vid If only it were that eazy
  15. I've barely scratched the surface . There are a lot of 'How to install C&C..." videos with incorrect or obsolete info with sooo many comments that need replies from people here That's only on YouTube. I haven't even started looking through other gaming forums or gaming sites yet! By the time I've replied/corrected even close to half of them, there will be another several hundred new vids/comments made. Someone should make a bot, app, tool or something for this kind of thing
  16. I'm just making sure coz I've been posting in the YouTube comments sections telling people that all these classics work on WinXP, Vista, Win 7 (x32 & x64) and Win 8 & 8.1. I don't wanna lie to them
  17. I just noticed that Windows Vista is not mentioned anywhere at cncnet.org. Is it not supported?
  18. There are still people out there that don't know that the classic C&C's do work on modern operating systems. Here's just one example of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGRm2rsDifk I'm not just talking about the author of the video, I'm also talking about the viewers, who in another video, a comment was made about how RA2it might only work on WinXP. I've seen dozens of these videos and comments (and corrected them). My point is, for this community to grow (even more so), you (the player) should inform those C&C fans about this site.
