The Dawn of the Tiberium Age v1.13
fir3w0rx replied to Bittah Commander's topic in Modding Discussion
A weird problem with my saved games... I load up DTA... click Load Mission... I see my list of saves. I do this a second time (afer clicking Cancel) and my entire list of save games are suddenly gone!!!??? All my save files are still in the Saved Games folder though. I then restart DTA... click Load Mission again and find that my saves have miraculously come back! I click Cancel once again, then Load Mission again and... yep, you guessed it, no saves. So I said the hell with it, I'll restart DTA and load my saves the first time I open up the saves list... I get a black screen. I decide to restart DTA. This time I click Campaign and begin a new campaign. As the campaign begins, I open up the menu (ESC) and click Load Game... it works. TLDR - Long story short... Saved games don't work from main menu and the list disappears if you click Load Mission more than once. You must restart DTA, start a new campaign and load your saves in-game. Same thing happens with skirmish. My PC: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 DTA v.1332 Saved games were also saved in version 1.332. -
Afaik, there is no way of doing this in RA2. If you really must record the cinematics in full screen, the only work-around that I can think of is to edit your ra2.ini file, scroll down to [Video] and add 'AllowModeToggle=yes' and also set StretchMovies to yes. Example: [Video] AllowModeToggle=yes ScreenWidth=1920 ScreenHeight=1080 StretchMovies=yes BUT you cannot play any games (single or multiplayer), otherwise RA2 will crash. You can view/record the stretched movies by going to 'Movies & Credits' in the main menu. You'll then have to set AllowModToggle to 'no', then restart RA2 so that you can play again. So basically, you'll have to record the missions and the cinematics separately if you want both in full screen. YR doesn't have this problem (not The First Decade or the xwis versions anyway). The menu and movies should be stretched regardless of the in-game resolution you're playing in.

Fine... your channel  Jk So if I may read between the lines; I'm guessing you've just recently re-installed and completed RA3 again, and while it's still fresh in your mind, you wanna do a walkthrough of it? That's cool, DoTA... I mean DotTA is a stand alone mod so you'll have no problem installing it.
-
Do walkthroughs / longplays of mods, not vanillas, as vanillas have all pretty much been done to death. I don't think anyone can offer anything new to what's already out there on YouTube. Dawn of the Tiberium Age would be my first request if I may, as I don't think there's even ONE walkthrough out there of it (not single player missions anyway), and since you're not too far into RA3 yet, maybe you can stop and move onto DTA right away!

Right click your ra2 icon -> shortcut tab -> add the following to the Target: -speedcontrol Example: "c:\games\ra2\ra2.exe" -speedcontrol Restart RA2. You should now be able to adjust the speed in single player missions. NOTE: This is for Win 7, but it should be similar for other versions of Windows as well.

The continued increase in players is largely due to the hard work and dedication of the staff of CnCNet / CnC CC (Communications Center). Without the dedicated server (CnCNet) ease of access and installation of the games regular updates and maintenance to ensure compatibility with today's hardware / software this forum (which I'm sure is not free) as well as many other features, I would be surprised to even see 20 players here. I'm sure I speak for the majority, if not all the players here, as I say, from the bottom of my tiberium filled heart... "Thank you guys for making our childhood dreams come true".

Sole Survivor Finally Gets Some Hi-Res Attention!
fir3w0rx replied to CCHyper's topic in Sole Survivor
I have an image file uploaded to Mediafire, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post a link of it here (even though EA doesn't even realize this game exists, otherwise it would've been included in the "ultimate" release ). I guess you can PM me for it if you want. -
Command & Conquer: Dawn of Tomorrow teaser thread
fir3w0rx replied to Kilkakon's topic in Modding Discussion
The mod looks good. Just a few questions though... [*]Why isn't your website http://kilkakon.com/ in your sig? Is it a secret? [*]What's the background story? On your website, it just basically says; (paraphrasing): "You're either bad or good. If you're good - side with Company of Answers, bad - side with Forces of Tomorrow". I'm sure there's a lot more to it than that. [*]Any sample videos? [*]How come this is not in ModDB? [*]Are you releasing a beta? -
Let's Ask Tore Light Armored Truck Link Adjacent Tiles Little Angry Trolls Leeching Ass Tiberium ...I'm out of ideas.

Oh ok. I'm guessing there are 3 options on the map screen that you can choose from. I haven't played it from start to finish in years so I've forgotten.
-
Oh what the hell... I fixed it just for you Sheldon!
-
Yeah I know, it's on grass terrain at the bottom right corner and you have to cross a bridge to get to it by land, but I didn't wanna spend too much time on making the vid so I just... uh... err... 'borrowed' footage and pics that I found online There was no way that I was gonna redo the final mission just for a screen shot of the Temple! Thanx for pointing it out though, but as long as the story is understandable I'm happy.

I don't get it.

Also, speaking of the forum, how do I level-up my account from Grenadier? Is it the more you post, the higher the level? And what's the highest level? Mammoth? Nuke? General Sheppard? Kane!

I wanted to keep it as concise as possible. That Lore channel is pretty cool, but I'm not sure why their videos are all cartoons. it's funny at times but I prefer some genuine pictures and footage as well. Also, too bad they didn't finish neither the Tiberian nor Red Alert storylines ... I guess someone will have to do it for them! There's another short C&C storyline vid that was done a few years ago, but it doesn't explain what's going on in each scene sadly. Here it is if you want to check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8GfUPfH1VM Oh, the other reason why I chose to use still pics is due to copyright; I've already gotten in trouble twice from YouTube, a third time would probably shut my channel down One of those vids was a 30 second boxing vid (out of a 48 minute fight). Too strict if you ask me, but I guess YouTube didn't wanna risk getting into trouble from HBO.

I noticed the forum was updated again yesterday. Mind if I ask what the specific updates were?

Renegade X - Beta 3 will be released on October 8th!
fir3w0rx replied to N3tRunn3r's topic in CnCNet News
I was wondering the same thing. I know I can always download it just to see for myself, but I'm too lazy I prefer sp because mp makes me dizzy due to the fact that I tend to look around a whole lot more in mp, which is why I stopped playing Call of Duty and Halo online a while ago. -

SIR YES SIR! Why are you so serious dude? This is a GAMING forum... relax... 'woosah'... or you might end up like one of these guys: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-EyG_CYf-S0 It's clear, but too short. For the channel it's enough, but what about things like: Nicknames - What are examples of nicks that are NOT allowed? irapenoobs? nyergudsux? DigBick? Cursing (obviously moderators/admins are allowed, judging by FunkyFr3sh's post ) Maps - A while back in RA2 on another server, someone made a map that looked like a naked woman and it was hilarious. I enjoyed scouting and clearing the shroud on that map Are these allowed? I can think of more things that should be in a FAQ or something, but I'm sure you guys get my point. @FunkyFr3sh - Thanx for clearing that up, sounds like he got off easy
-
What was the 'bad' thing that you were saying if you don't mind me asking? Were you talking about religion or politics ? Did you cus? - because sometimes I cus but I don't mean any offense. Did you tell Nyerguds that he can say what he says but in a nicer way and yet still convey the exact same meaning? Also, while on the subject, I know there is a link to the Forum rules, but where's the link to the CnCNet rules?
-
Guilty as charged! I have to admit, the main reason why I still play these classic C&Cs (from this site) is because they work out of the box. There are a lot of other older games that I'd like to play again, but I'm too lazy to find patches, figure out the correct compatibility settings, temporarily turn off explorer... and so on.
-
K, cool thanx. Although, it's not really necessary because having tried a few maps and played a few campaign levels, I've come to the conclusion that 1920x1080 is too large anyway, I sometimes can't tell what unit I'm clicking on!
