yea, the guy who was running didnt had backups of the files and the server provider went down .. thats when the problems started and server is now gone for good i heard not sure when dune 2000 goes cncnet, i got skirmish games working already but i have yet to look up the multiplayer stuff it is on my to-do list and might be finished during the next 10years

sounds like you downloaded the mini multiplayer installer this one? http://funkyfr3sh.cncnet.org/files/TiberianSun_Online_Installer.exe

Online game chrashes while connection buildup

i could not find any logs, are you using a different name in-game? -
cool You can build up to 15 construction yards, with each one you build your building speed will increase. If that player had a lot of construction yards and naval yards he would be able to build stuff almost instantly You have to make sure you are teching up and getting a lot of these buildings too if the game lasts longer. An other option is to play small maps without gems, on those you wont be able to get that fast building speeds Ai players can build multiple structures at the same time, they usualy do that with power plants, maybe one of the players left or lost conn and AI took over if you have enough war factories then tanks starting to come out of multiple ones cause it takes some time for the tank to move out and the game will switch to another building if the next tank is done but the previous one didnt move out fully yet Ai players can also produce multiple tanks at the same time

yes, i heard about this problem now a couple times :/ im not sure what it is and if it is fixable, i have to check it out yet hifi said it could be related to the router since it works for some people but others are not able to play with multiple people from the same connection at the same time EDIT: I uploaded a possible fix for the problem, please try it again (the update will be downloaded automatically)
-
it is included in the RedAlertConfig as resource white is just using old crap (he even uses the 100year old outdated arda) go to www.cncnet.org, download the game and you have it fully working
-
all small infantry files
-
i have moved these files to expand10.mix some time ago
-
try to disable the graphics patch, it could cause such problems if it doesnt help then try through all renderers
-
server does not respond are you sure you did open port 50000 udp and tcp?
-
test on skirmish, if it lags there too then its about bad settings .. if it lags only in online games then its the connection
-
thanks, fixed but might take some time until the next update for the translations, there is still a lot to do
-
for cncnet you need to rename your custom rules.ini to spawn.xdp, and your custom aftrmath.ini to spawnam.xdp make sure you keep a backup of the original files if you want to play online games again later another option is to add these units to the maps instead of using a custom rules files, this way you will be able to play them online
-
no, its impossible to disable it completely
-
nope i dont, we have nothing to do with arda here. nor do we have the source or anything of it cncnet4 wasnt working either at first, he had to add support for it too .. he would need to do the same for cncnet5
-
its the "CnCNet 5 suggestions" thread, not arda suggestions

The game itself got problems with dpi scaling too, so it wasnt that important for me to fix the client since its the best option to turn off dpi scaling to be able to play
-
Turns out I uninstalled .net Can't believe apps fail in such a bad way, why can't they popup a nice error message? I think windows 8 can show messages in such cases, but every other windows fails IMO you should support lower resolutions. I think that's annoying and wrong. i can prolly support 1280x720 with dpi scaling since its mainly a height problem with that resolution and squeezing the height is still possible, but width problems are not so easy to fix
-
maybe you just have too high security settings? no admin rights?
-
dont ask us, ask the one who created it ... there is nothing we can do
-
would be nice if you show some screenshots
-
sounds strange, i guess the auto update fails because of that and you cannot join because you dont have the latest version this usually happened with norton antivirus
-
Not sure how far you get with the debugger, it seems to crash anywhere in the framework itself before it even tries to run the client i guess anything above 1280x720 should be fine they are above by default, but would be below all other windows if the user turned "always on top" on for other windows in the settings. It was just added to ensure nothing jumps on top of the settings window while you are changing your settings. Only the dialogs which are meant to be open for a short time show on top like this
