  1. A lot of people like to build big bases and then go for the mass destruction it is pretty cool that he is doing this "tests", hopefully we can finally get rid of that crash soon
  2. just start cncnet5.exe in your game folder and start playing online do not try to use the in-game menu of the game to play online
  3. yes, 2 small videos are missing because you would need to download the 2 expansion cds just because of those videos, but i zipped those and they are linked somewhere in this thread, i will add the files to the first post both files should be equal, i added a fix to ra_TLF_Videos2.zip cause there was a typo in one of the video names with the result that the video did never play. I told nyer about this, i think he updated his package back then to fix it up yes, just extract it to the game folder
  4. it should be working fine, just copy the files into your game folder and keep using the game launcher from the desktop, you dont need to use the .exe nyer included in his package anymore edit: oh wait, i think nyer been using a special name for the .mix file, add sc- infront of the name *name*.mix -> sc-*name*.mix
  5. that is a different one
  6. What version number does it show in the main menu? If you have patched the game properly then it will generate a error log file now, check your game folder for ra95crash.dmp and upload the file here
  7. yes, it is not an irc ping
  8. type "/ping google.com" in the lobby and check how your ping looks like
  9. could you try this: type "/install divinefrog" in the lobby, tell your friend to do the same cause it will make your game incompatible
  10. i dont think ts-spawn.exe works perfectly fine on a vanilla installation (had some problems with the menu.. map names not showing...) using just the config program will work fine For ra1 you can use http://funkyfr3sh.cncnet.org/ to patch your game like allen said, it wont modify the missions but it adds the high res patch and some extra missions under a new "custom missions" button in the main menu The cncnet mini versions are not using any registry keys, you can keep your origin version and the mini versions installed at the same time
  11. the serverlist is sorted by distance, every player can see a different server on top
  12. All your problems are solved with this: http://funkyfr3sh.cncnet.org/ Choose patch existing installation It will install a working version of raed, parambombs in skirmish are possible via the new cncnet lobby, high res patch and longer sidebar is included too Note: you will need to rename your rules.ini to spawn.xdp because that is what the new lobby is using
  13. cNick was muted for more than a week too
  14. Too many people complain about you, you are beeing rude non stop This pretty much confirms your attitude
  15. keep the default settings, server must be "server.cncnet.org" port must be "9001" else you cannot connect! keep the p2p off first, cause you cannot see each other if the ports werent opened properly
  16. What windows do you even have?
  17. dont mix up the high res patch from http://d2kplus.com/hires.php with the gruntmods installation, cause gruntmods and cncnet use a newer version of high res and they wont be compatible to each other get the game from gruntmods first, choose your resolution via the dune 2000 config tool. then get dxwnd and you will be able to change the size of the window while the game is running here is my dxwnd including settings, might save you some time! http://funkyfr3sh.cncnet.org/files/dxwnd.7z dxwnd allows you to run the game in window mode, but you can turn that off if you want ... sadly it comes with 1million settings, i hope it will just work for you with mine if not, then you have no other choice than trying through all of them, i could get many things working with it but it takes some time to try through all
  18. it works on cncnet, i have been using some of them on my own, search through the forums and you will find the needed tutorials to do it on your own
  19. played some games with your server, all were around 10min, no problems and speed was pretty good too
  20. LAN can be used to play online, thats how people been playing the game online the last years over vpn software
  21. did that ever work online? Some triggers were made specially for singleplayer and refuse to work online
  22. The client is c#, tunnel server was made in java
  23. Never heard about such a problem yet, i will try to play some games with your server later to check it out on my own
  24. if you like to play with 6+ friends and all of you know how to open the needed port (8054 udp) in your router then it would work, but playing fast p2p games with random people in the lobby is almost impossible since the most people on cncnet dont know how to open ports If you play with friends, use the following command to bybass the p2p connection test "/notest" because the test is currently not working If you play with random people then make sure you set a ping limit and check the anti-lag checkbox when you host a game to filter the laggers out
  25. get XCC Mixer to extract files from within the .mix archives: http://xhp.xwis.net/
