Right, LAN in cncnet was just added as an extra goodie and yes, you need to have an active internet connection You dont need to open ports in a LAN, i guess your problems are caused by any security program you installed (even if you turned them off, those might screw things up still)

Why dont you play in the cncnet 5 lobby? it supports LAN games too

Any more news on this? I have another 5 people who are very interested .... Its so difficult to get Red Alert 2 to run on my Windows 7, it would be a great christmas present if you could get this done. interesting, i noticed the fps drop only with custom named game executables. If the filename is original (dune2000.dat) there were no problems What dune install do you use? did you download any patches? Might be cool to patch dune to do that stuff on its own like it is written on that site (3. Call SetAppCompatData)

hm i actually had this problem in my VM too not long time ago, but cannot remember what caused it what installer did you use to install the game?

AI cannot build sadly, but there are some special maps you can play where new AI units come as reinforcement (some kind of tower defense style)

We just banned/warned all macro/autoclick users, other cheats have been fixed too If there should ever be a new cheat then it will be fixed too
