  1. here is another mini red alert version you can use as base for your mod: http://www.mediafire.com/download/0dpc41c6lzq7hqo/redalert-am-cs.zip white is using it for his mod too (works with arda) i suggest using a a mix file named expand10.mix with this version (put all your mod files in there) cause the sc-* mix files wont work with custom string tables i attached a blank mix file you can use EXPAND10.zip
  2. I just added that feature (only for Red Alert 1) ive had newbs in tiberian sun a few times think it was a good idea to slow down the gamespeed which made me immediately quit. tiberian sun is never too fast. theres just something wrong with newbs to make them do that. usually people only change gamespeed to piss off other players or cause a sync error but theres a handful of newbs who like to touch it as well didnt knew ts got the same problem, might look into it the next days
  3. I just added that feature (only for Red Alert 1)
  4. nice, good job make sure you use the latest version, fixed a couple of bugs the last days
  5. are you sure its 30seconds ? the game saves a screenshot every 1min on the hdd, maybe it does crash if it fails to do that (lack of write permissions/anti-virus)
  6. I don't really have all the original files for set1 anymore, but i'm gonna check it out again the next days .. will convert it again with the new tool
  7. Well, i wasnt sure why it doesnt show the true names .. in the flamedancers campaign the mammoth tank was replaced with a custom shp, but there is no "image=" tag to change the image to a custom graphic ... shouldnt xcc be able to turn the hex into the true name since the mammoth tank is a known shp ? the name tags don't tell me much, the graphics are too weird .. no idea what could be what just by the name
  8. With this tool you can convert old missions/campaigns to the new format used in irans patch. The converted missions can be used as add-on files instead of replacing the original missions (shown in the custom missions dialog) Just copy all the campaign files into the same folder as the tool (It does not read mix files, make sure you extract the missions with XCC-Mixer first - http://xhp.xwis.net/ ), fire it up, enter the name of the campaign, choose a campaign number and hit "Convert All"... The following numbers are already in use: 100-107: Deadly war 108-128: Flame Dancers Genesis set 1 129-149: (Reserved) Flame Dancers Genesis set 2 - After the conversion you will find the files inside of the Converted-Missions folder, either copy the files directly into your game folder or put them into a mix file (a blank mix file is included, make sure the mix filename starts with sc-) and copy the mix into your game folder! Supported files: mission files (sc*ea.ini) rules.ini aftrmath.ini mission.ini tutorial.ini custom units / buildings (*.shp) Not supported: Custom sounds Files that can't be renamed by the Converter (e.g. 01EAB4F1) Campaigns which are shipped with a custom ra95.exe/dat or a patcher might not be fully convertable Download: http://downloads.cncnet.org/Games/RedAlert/RA1MissionConverter.exe Note: this is a alpha version, i'm not sure if it all works perfectly! Testers needed! The converted missions are not working with the original 3.03 patch! Get the 3.03p-Iran patch from the following site if you don't have the game patched yet: http://cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?topic=1918.0 Here are loads of missions/campaigns if someone likes to test around: http://ra.afraid.org/html/downloads/missions.html http://ra.afraid.org/html/downloads/campaigns.html
  9. just dont let sean3z have any power here. the guy stalks me and harasses me. no one will harass you here, dont worry btw, i seen your cncnet promo video and the problems you had downloading the files, i didnt knew about that problems yet but it should be fixed now. There is now a US mirror on the site and the updater is using the fastest possible server automatically
  10. actually crossover should come with everything needed (dotnet20 and gdiplus) thats why im always suggesting people to use it instead of playonmac :/ for other people it was working out of the box without any problems, so i dunno what the problem you have could be
  11. No idea what that error is about, never heard about Edit: try to use the older version of cnc-ddraw from here: http://funkyfr3sh.cncnet.org/files/ddraw.dll copy it into your game folder and make sure you are not opening the config tool afterwards (it will delete and replace it with the newer ddraw) let me know if it works
  12. i think the graphics settings are just set to low (forced) at the moment, does that change the conyard animation ? Dunno if we need moderators atm, everything seems to run smooth the way it is
  13. Try to install winetricks GDIplus too
  14. did you try that ? http://funkyfr3sh.cncnet.org/playonmac_playonlinux/
  15. Update: All game packages have been updated with map editors + game launchers
  16. nope, the cost values of the country sections wont speed up the production
  17. got all of em here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/97634864@N04/sets/
  18. did you try to remove the registry keys and then run the game with the dll ? does it fix the color problem ?
  19. did you check if your ip changes ? maybe your router drops the connection completely every now and then do you use wifi ? try to connect via a cable
  20. nice one pretty strange they have that disabled by default
  21. sounds pretty much like it
  22. dunno what its doing if the file is not there, you can just start the game and then try to delete the dll while the game is still running
  23. yes, the first one is a special one for old cnc games so it might not work with many other games The second one works with tons of games you dont need the registry fix anymore with this dll
  24. try to use http://hifi.iki.fi/cnc-ddraw/ or http://bitpatch.com/ddwrapper.html (ColorFix=1) instead
