    you can make interior maps with money as well ! the missing shps for ore/gems have been added longer time ago to able to use them in raed you need to add the files to the correct location

    extract the mix inside of the other mix, add the unit and then put the mix back in

    i just convert it to png with xcc and then i edit it with microsoft paint .. then just convert it back with xcc

    you had to create a virtual drive, do you remember the name ? check the wine folders

    you did select cncnet.exe in the settings, so it keeps starting itself instead of the game .. change it to game.exe or ra2.exe (cant remember the name)

    make sure you got port 9001 in the cncnet settings, never change that port

    i dunno, but i would rather try it with a cable than anything wireless

    try to press TAB to enable it. If that doesnt work go to settings, game settings, config, video settings and enable window mode

    i dont think its the network card, testing it with a cable was the last idea i had :/ that solved problems for other people before

    Are you using wifi ? try to connect via a cable

    I dont know much about the windows 8 security settings, but this error is almost always caused by security programs and such Are you logged in as an admin permanently or do you always have to enter the admin password during runtime of windows ?

    try to get rid of the anti virus there is no need to open a port, it should just work

    i doubled all, but then every AI game became insane laggy and i had to revert the changes those are the total limits

    are you sure you are banned ? cause normally its only a chat ban and you can still login and join/host games

    you cannot use custom rules.ini files on cncnet, it would make the game incompatible .. open the map in a text editor and copy your rules.ini changes inside of it (do not copy the full rules.ini in, only the sections you modified) edit: i attached an example map, open it in a text editor to check it out r16muumi.zip

    if you play with random people you dont know then there is always a chance for this to happen some people just downloaded the game and didnt allow it in their firewall i play with the old players only (i know every one of them) and 8 player games connect all the time

    i made a launcher for cnc95 some time ago, but i didnt update it with a cncnet5 button yet i can do that today

    nope, its not related to the port some other people had the same problem before, it also happened on cncnet4 .. i have no idea what its about... either a anti-virus program messed the folder up or a bad registry key points to the folder, i dunno

    Do all games fail to connect for you ? Then the problem is on your end for sure, allow it in your firewall/anti-virus ... If that doesnt help then turn firewall/anti-virus off and re-install the game to a DIFFERENT folder (do not use the same folder again!!!!)
