Kind of ironic that the next (main) mission is literally the last Nod mission ever. XD

The whole Nod campaign is like that. I check the total running time of my Nod videos: It's around five hours, whereas my GDI videos are almost nine hours. I played the GDI campaign first and was a bit rusty, but there's just SO MANY Nod missions that can be completed in under ten minutes, it's ridiculous. It never does. Not for the Mammoth, for the Ion Cannon, nor for the Iron Curtain. Especially for the Iron Curtain. About one thrid of the RA1 Allied missions are connected to the Iron Curtain, and it's mostly for nothing.

This may very well be my favourite mission in the entire game. It's so much fun! We go up against all Imperial commanders, we get Apocalypse Tanks, and... there's a little surprise at the end. Soviets Mission 7: To Tame A Living God -

What OS do you use? In any case, try a clean install. Don't mix fan patches with official patches. As for actually playing online, use the Renegade launcher: https://cncnet.org/renegade-servers Be aware that many, many Renegade players have moved to Renegade X, though, a free MP-only community version of Renegade: https://renegade-x.com/ A side note: I find you signature quite amusing in the light of this thread. -
I just check: My last playthrough of the Nod campaign is about 5:30h, so, it's not too far off. I needed much longer for the GDI campaign (less super-short missions).

Not bad. You could probably beat the entire Nod campaign in that time, even if you are not speedrunning.

I have GDI 8/Nod 8 another shot, but there's just too much slowdown. A couple of people on Youtube asked me how to run the mod, and the videos are still watched regularly, though, so there is till interest in the mod. -
My theory is that those caravans were designed for camping in Tiberium fields. That would explain why they are so damn tough.

No permadeath for heroes in RA3, except in certain commando missions. You can re-recruit them at your barracks.
