  1. I think GDI 11 is impossible in it's current state. I can't even get off the beach properly. The turrets chew up the grenadiers within seconds, and even if it manage to use them as damage sponges, the MCV gets destroyed by the two eastern turrets at the latest. Video
  2. Could you re-upload GDI 10? I have the old version that doesn't allow me to continue after finishing GDI 10.
  3. What's up with those blobs on the turrets?
  4. Yes, they stick out too much. The buildings should be a little more scattered. Maybe try darker concrete too, more like the one in TS?
  5. The Chinook now arrives as intended. Another minor thing I noticed is that half the villager in the village in the north-western corner are neutral, whereas the other half is hostile (i.e. is automatically targeted by my units).
  6. Here we are: The final mission of the Rising Sun campaign. Rising Sun Mission 9: The Last Red Blossom Trembled
  7. The reason for Dune being included is that the three Dune RTS games have also been developed by Westwood and are part of the C&C series in all but name/theme.
  8. I'm on a trip right now; I'll do the mission again once I'm back!
  9. Just completed NOD 10. The mission is a lot harder than it used to be, but that's actually a good thing. A couple of things: 1. There's this random wave in the middle of the island. 2. Flame tanks feel less powerful than in C&C1 because they need some time to get into position and start firing. Artillery, in the other hand, feels more useful. 3. GDI has air strikes in this mission, which essentially introduces a time limit because the planes are likely to toast all your units. I would keep this. 4. I didn't get a Chinook when I approached Dr Chan's island, but Chan enthusiastically ran to the shore and got sniped by the sniper. Is that WAD?
  10. I'll test it later today. Let's see whether we can actually use the sniper this time, as foretold by Kane! Unless it's the Mammoth Tank map, of course. In that case, forget what I said.
  11. In this mission, they give you a nigh-invincible super unit... and then design the map in a way that makes it as hard as possible to use said super unit. Still not that difficult for the game's pre-ultimate mission. Rising Sun Mission 8: Crumble, Kremlin, Crumble
  12. It comes on four DVDs. Four. The reason for that is the game's size (about 43GB), which they didn't really bother to compress sufficiently. Unless you pirate it, then it's way smaller. But only thoroughly corrupt human beings would do that, of course.
  13. For C&C, only Uprising and TUC have codes. The rest comes on actuals discs - of course there hasn't be a main C&C game in the last six years anyway. There's still a good reason to buy these discs, though, as they are often cheaper than digital versions. Discs that only contain codes or Steam installers aren't a rarity, and a pain for people with slow Internet. Of course games where the devs where to lazy to do any proper compression are also a pain, disc or download (I'm looking at you, Wolfenstein: The New Order).
  14. Buy it on EA's website. That CD case only contains a digital code anyway.
  15. I recently installed the disc version of TW. The installation hanging is apparently a common issue. I recommend to either give the installation time (half an hour to an hour) or create an ISO and install the game from that. Using an ISO worked for me.
  16. Okay, how did get both the Allied and the Red Fleet past our defences? Anyway, it's a nice mission to highlight the power of Yuriko, my favourite of the three commandos. And her twin sister. Or clone, I'm not quite sure. Rising Sun Mission 7: Barbarian at the Bay
  17. This is a pretty fun mission. There's a lot of ways to approach it, and the map has a slight sandbox feeling, which I like. Also, we destroy EA Los Angeles in a unintentionally ironic twist. Rising Sun Mission 6: Rage of the Black Tortoise
  18. Be positive. There's way more people downloading the mod than commenting.
  19. Good thing I finished it already. I can't wait for GDI Mission 11.
  20. This mission reminds me just how long it took you in the earlier C&C games to get actual air support. GDI Mission 10
  21. I know it's based on mythology, but why did they chose a land animal to represent the largest sea vessel ever build? Rising Sun Mission 5: Assault on the Black Tortoise
  22. Another Facebook non-user here... like everybody else, I guess.
  23. Instead of destroying monuments, we spend a mission protecting monuments. Rising Mission 4: Graveyard of a Foolish Fleet
  24. I personally love how huge the cargo plane is. Every time one arrives, I go WHOA!
