  1. My friend, Grant provided instructions and mentioned at the end its easy to revert back to live. I report to him that reverting back to live did in fact not work and broke my installation completely. Please try not to constantly sound aggressive towards me as I am some stupid person, thanks. Also yes before you ask the next aggressive question I did let cncnet installer re-download all the required files to play back on "live".
  2. When trying the beta version and reverting back to live, all my map previews broke and every room I joined notified me as a "cheater" for having modified files, had to re-install to fix it.
  3. There's an edit on the discord server that has a tutorial on how to edit thememd.ini to bring them back yourself. I agree though, and even made a topic many years ago questioning why they were removed. For RA2 mode it makes sense to only keep the RA2 tunes for authentic sake, but YR is an EXPANSION so it shouldn't get rid of things.
  4. Not sure if you are joking again, but vanilla is a gaming term for an "unmodified" version of the game, or the original release. As for the bug itself yeah it only happens if something was there before but died, for some reason the game does not remove your ability to see invisible units at that area sometimes.
  5. Speakng of underwater units, this is an ancient vanilla bug, but many times i keep be able to see underwater units I am no longer supposed to see anymore. This also happened offline in OG RA2, but maybe this is also a contributor to recons

  7. This time got an internal error. The internal error is a different window so OBS does not capture it, so here's a screenshot: Video match: So the weird thing is that this time not everyone seems to have crashed. When I went out of the room, it seemed the others were still in-game. I had happen before where suddenly someone "lag out" so maybe it is similar to this. Caused by the Chrono? I don't know, but yeah. Getting tiring.

  9. Welp, crash nr #2 (that is recorded that is lol) Bleh. Not even anything navy was near here (from my screen anyway, not sure what happened on the other side), but black eagles were crashing again. But honestly, if it were the eagles crashing this whole dumb issue should happen more frequently or in general in other maps as well. It's also not lag or something because all these games are very smooth. Tsunami is one of the most popular official maps, and honestly, it surprises me it still is when this problem is so frequent and existing for long. It's a shame, since I really enjoy the map.
  10. Took me a while too, but the 2 not crashing hornets came from the right (escaping) carrier, see the shadow as they go out of the carrier.
  11. Well, that didn't took long... Here's the first full video of a recon error No edits, no cut to the end, the full match. That's how all the recon vids will be. The recon is at the end of the video as excected The only thing worth mentioning on this one is that on the left there was a chrono targeting something and on that very same frame (it seems, based on the sound) the game recon'd. I don't know if that was the cause or not. It could also be the IFV doing something causing it, I really don't know.
  12. No obvious ways to replicate yet sadly, but here's yet another one to the collection. Some of my dolphins were being captured by Yuri and a little after the game recon'd. And yes Grant, this is not something recent. I had this happen years ago in Tsunami as well Maybe I can start record my tsunami games..
  13. I do know some intentionally host 1.1 because some 1.1 versions have "unlimited money" but that's a different can of worms and a really boring way to play the maps, usually full of camping without SW lol. Unfortunately I see the non-final ones hosted way more than the final one.
  14. Back in 2017 destroying gap generators (often with a nuke) caused recons as well, which too got fixed I believe; never seen that happen anymore. Anyway, even if the issue is the map, then the reason should still be figured out, so an official bug fix can be made for the map.
  15. It's not the map, but something to do with SEA-related (maybe cloaks as it also has caused a lot of issues for observers from what I can tell in the changelogs...) As OP himself even shows, recons happen in other SEA maps as well. This is a problem for years, but maybe if more people try to help replicate it, it can finally get fixed instead of "just not playing Tsunami because its bugged". But even back when I started I am very sure I already experienced this issue. It's a really, really old issue with Tsunami (presumably all SEA maps)

  17. Yet another recon in Tsunami, again when my black eagles were crashing. Is this a hint? Is it maybe something like an aircraft landing on a navy unit or something? EDIT: I also see a veteran icon near the shipyard. What is that about? I had no navis near the shipyard of the enemy. EDIT 2: Another possibility is rumble falling on a navy unit
  18. Just had another recon in tesunami as well. It happened when the harrier landed from a crash but I don't think that's it. Weird. Unfortunately I play with randoms so I just can't gather logs for both players It was a really long and fair fight, so I don't think the other party was turning on a cheat or something.
  19. I can confirm that pretty much all my recon errors happen in sea maps as well (Tsunami in particular) not anything recent; has occurred pretty much since I started here already back in 2017. Often it happens as well when someone surrenders in a late game or just randomly when a lot is going on. Pretty sure the issue is something sea related.
  20. So there's this wonderful option hosts can use which is "No spy" which disables spies... duh? This option works nicely, but sometimes there are modded maps where Spies are available in other factions (ex: Soviet), and no Spy option does not cover these. Is it possible for "No Spy" to get a second layer where it disables Spies for allied and all the spy functionality if someone somehow manages to make one anyway? Example, making him not be able to spy buildings, or multiple layers that still "hard" disable Spy. There's some hosts genuinely bothered by said mod maps doing this (ex: Oil in center) and would want "No Spy" also to cover these situations. Yes, I know the solution is "don't host Oil then" or "host a version that didn't modify spy for soviets" but many versions does, and it can get super confusing and unfair when no spy is enabled but you end up seeing soviet people spy other anyway.

Yes, 0. However, from what I notice there's no specific cheated spot or anything, I just think its straight up bugged on purpose or something so those fighting for the oil or rush making oils are wasting money. ProduceCashDelay was changed from 100 to 1 and this causes the oil to make no money at all. Don't really have the patience to look for other changes, but if you find something let me know.
  22. Ah, yes. Cheated maps. They have been around even when I played back in 2017, unfortunately. Back in the day people hosted many times cheated officially maps, which basically followed all your patterns except that in the bottom right corner it would say its an unofficial map (major red flag). Anyway, I checked the map you thought is fake in final alert and can confirm what you said: These are placed at the very bottom of the map and have a flag to give them to the player in a specific spot. Nasty stuff, but a bit older method of cheating. TIP: In non-oil maps if you suspect a cheated map move your in-game screen to corners of the maps and many times you hear oils making sound and noise. A map without oils? MAJOR red flag. Immediately get out.
  23. The thing that made me doubt was when I attacked purple you can see his tesla reactor and MCV was also getting sold. Was it him just quiting or was he also getting his stuff sold? Anyway, the most important part is that I recorded the hack in action I suppose, and hopefully Grant and his team can figure out how to tackle this.
  24. I finally got victim of this now too, and tried ASAP to record it with OBS. Unfortunately there's no sound because i was in a hurry, but basically you hear the sell sound and "structure sold" in same way you would hear as you sell it yourself. You can see clearly in this recording I am not anywhere near the sell button. Video: First my weather controller, base, and chrono was sold. This is when I immediately did hurry and opened my recording stuff in hope he would do it again. He did, including to other people. We are not sure who exactly did it, but I personally suspect red because he ended up very suspiciously destroy the remainder buildings (oils) so he could cheaply win after all the selling. Other suspect it was purple. My instant assumption how this is done is the person's client is edited where every building's sell icon is "valid" (basically, the "owned" check removed), and maybe the game server does not verify whatsoever if this is true or not, thus accepts it and sells your building. Its clear in this video the selling is done like a human.
  25. Unfortunately that's nothing new. Some people when losing not only swear at you but also starts lag the game on purpose, either with the "game speed" option in-game to SLOWEST (why can people even change this mid-game anyway? Never seen a purpose of it), or just slowing their connection on purpose. EDIT: Dammit this is a thread from 2021 that got bumped
