single player with videos - how?

I want to play the first game campaign with videos

but I don't know what I am suppose to download, 

I got to this page:

and it has lots of different downloads and I got very confused..

I think you install the first link and then install the second one and it will install the movies.mix files into the game directory.

Indeed what @SiMStorM said.

As for why it is 2 different files you should ask @Nyerguds . I guess it is because the movies download is quite a bit larger than the game itself and if you have the original CD's you can run the movies from them.

No. They run more or less parallel, but since they play on different continents they don't really influence each other.

True, the end is different... canonically GDI wins. But according to the briefing of the Covert Ops mission "Nod Death Squad", both the European defeat and the African expansion definitely happened.

Because the game includes four languages. I could put the game and the videos of all four languages in one pack too, but then you'd probably be wondering why on earth C&C1 was 5 gigabytes.

I installed the two files one after the other, and when I tries to run it I got an error msg then my computer freeze

any ideas? I'm on windows 10

I thought that they were more like different time lines, too.
Like, how they did Dune (whoever you play as, wins the war). Well, that's how I always saw it.

That's a good point.
I kinda always thought that TS would have been more interesting if they'd just said that Nod won the first war and like, shot the white house with the Ion, or whatever.
