Really nice stuff there

DTA is The Dawn of the Tiberium Age. Also there is a Red Alert ladder here
-
That's a common issue on some systems there's no reliable fix for that. Tiberian Sun just doesn't like some systems.
-
Failed to initialize mostly means that some files are damaged or missing. (Might be the crack too) Try getting TS from here: http://www.cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=41 (Already no-CD and all that jazz) - I know this one works unless you are using strange hardware or non-standard settings somewhere.
-
From where did you get Tiberian Sun?
-
Yay news is back! Time to fix the broken CnCNet forum header...sometime..
-
There's been a lot of interesting developments for the Dawn of the Tiberium Age (DTA) standalone mod for Tiberian Sun. Take the airstrike super weapon animation below as an example. There's more things like a launcher, auto updater terrain and other improvements waiting in the upcoming release of DTA. Intrigued? Head over to their official website!

We are back, the reason why we keep exceeding the bandwidth limit is said in the previous news topic.
-
As the Command & Conquer Communications Center and CnCNet continues to grow the bandwidth usage has sky rocketed. Hence the common bandwidth limit exceeded error at the end of each month. This is because our host has pulled out of the web hosting business and is unable to provide the amount of bandwidth they once provided. So what options do we have? - Continue to exceed the bandwidth limit each month - Finding another host* - Supporting our current host to allow them to provide us with more room to grow. *This could prove difficult due to our high disc and bandwidth usage each month seen below. Site stats Disc space usage: 4511.27 out of 5000 MB (5 GB) Bandwidth: 448115.84 out of 453000 MB (453 GB) Unique visitors this month: 14831 (cnc-comm.com and cncnet.cnc-comm.com) As I've always considered this site a site by the people rather than my site I want you to have a say in how we approach this issue. Without you this site would have been another chapter in the book of dead and forgotten C&C fan sites and I'd rather not have that happen. So...any suggestions?

I was going to suggest graphics driver update but you beat me to it Yay!

hifi has announced that as of today the CnCNet 2.0 server has been shut down. It served us well and will be missed. To continue using CnCNet you will have to update to CnCNet version 3.0. CnCNet 2.0 is dead! Long live CnCNet 3.0!
-
All services were down 29th to 30th September & CnCNet v2.0 shut down
Tore replied to hifi's topic in CnCNet News
In other news we got more bandwidth on the 29th so technically it wasn't down the entirety of the 29th. -

Have you patched the game to 2.03? http://www.cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=29 And have you tried using Windows 98 compatibility mode?

SMF is the forum software we are using.

Just updated to SMF 1.1.15! if you get any issues please tell us

*Adjusts communications array* Are you picking this up? Good! There's been a long hole in news lately and I apologize for that; school, illness and a lot of other stuff is the reason for this lack of news. Let's begin locally shall we First of all I'll say that hifi has released CnCNet v3.0! I've personally not been able to test it out due to the reasons stated above but I've heard it's caught on pretty well. See more on the CnCNet homepage! There's also been some updates to the likes of cnc-ddrawbut since I've been out of the loop for so long I don't know what they are.. There seems to be activity in the Radar Dome as well a few new maps has been posted and there is some map discussion going on. I've come back to the maps in another news post. As for other news: An Alpha version of the Red Alert 2 Yuri's revenge mod Tiberian Sun: Rewire has been released to the public and made open source. So if you want to play around with a unstable mod, go for it! There's been another release of a Yuri's revenge mod lately. A interesting mod called Reign of Steel has been released "as-is" due to lack of motivation by the mod creator. Version 1.0 of the Red Alert 3 mod "The Red Alert" has been released. The trailer says pretty much everything... YouTube - Broadcast Yourself. Go download it over at CnC Labs If I missed anything please go rage in the news thread thank you.

Just to confirm, you did download RA from http://redalert1.com/ right? This is an issue I've never heard about, it works just fine for me. Moved to the repair bay

I know I'm 4 days late, last year I was 3 days late...do you see a pattern emerging? :O 4 years ago I created a little website for the C&C classics. Some people called the idea stupid, yet this website still stands and their sites are long gone... Now, whose getting the late cake? Happy birthday Command & Conquer Communications Center! Maybe next year we will have something extra special for you! As for another important thing hifi has initiated a public beta for CnCNet v3. It looks neat and I suggest you people take a look! I must add that once CnCNet v3 becomes stable CnCNet v2 will shut down. So if your mod or game distribution uses CnCNet please update to CnCNet v3 unless you want a useless DLL in your gamefolder.

No need to have this topic posted twice. I deleted the old one.
