Try to set the sound in Wine to "emulation".

I think this was disabled in 3.03, but it is possible in 2.0 and older I think. I've allied the AI in RA many times in the past.

Did I get it right now? -
It's that time of the year again. Nyerguds just released (as in yesterday) version 1.06c revision 3 of his patch project for Command & Conquer. This version fixes that annoying language bug which rendered people playing in a different language other than English unable to participate in multiplayer games with more than two players. This was caused by a bug in the system to auto-detect the amount of player start locations on a map, introduced in revision 2. The system would set the player limit to 2 if the map's name wasn't stated explicitly for your language in the map file, which caused problems for all languages besides English. Another bug that was fixed was preventing the mod system to load custom cursor, themes.ini, rules.ini files. Disabling the "new" credits music option works now too. It's now possible to limit the amount of "AI" in "skirmish" as well. The patch encompasses more; the best way to learn about the new features would be to read the article Nyerguds posted on Moddb.

This is a common problem with TS I'm afraid. There's no reliable fixes out there as TS likes some computers and hates others.

Follow this guide

uhmm CnCNet works with ANY version of 1.6c r2.

RAED, downloaded from this site, doesn't work
Tore replied to AchromicWhite's topic in Mapping Discussion
It works fine for me Try to extract it a place away from the RA folder as it might try to read the main.mix in the RA folder which doesn't work. -
Yeah, after being off twitter for two years we are back again! But question is; is there any point? We don't exactly provide daily news here Anyway, those who use twitter are free to stalk follow twitter.com/CnCComm

Hello everyone! I suddenly got in the mood to type something up. This might be old news to many of you, but since no one is covering it I decided this needed a news post. Inside the oh so cleverly named "looking for testers" topic on the CnCNZ forums lies something awesome; Arda. Arda is a project by AlexB similar to Ares for Yuri's Revenge. It uses Syringe to "patch" a DLL into Red Alert while it's running. Which means that Arda doesn't change the game files directly. Arda fixes bugs and gives us new features such as high resolution, and new rules.ini tags for modders such as the GuardRange tag from Tiberian Sun which allows you to build multiple wall pieces at a time. Keep in mind that Arda is in an early state and might not work correctly so be patient if you find any issues and tell them to AlexB by posting in the Arda topic over at CnCNZ. Using Arda you can play Red Alert in some pretty insane resolutions (click on the image for full size)

TS: TOTAL WAR MOD (Hablo español) Spanish description, english too.
Tore replied to pepsi (tstw)'s topic in Newer C&C games
Old mod or not you still need permission, unless you want a firestorm of angry people jumping on your face (such is the C&C modding community about things like this) and I'll ask the DvD if I find him online some time. Why did you post another topic when you already made one two days ago? topics merged -
From what I understood of it Kane is referring to EVA. Nod might have used it to find out where you live.

Do you have permission from The DvD to redistribute TSTW? Since this is quite old and isn't yours I see no point in having this topic around in mod announcements. Moved to "Tiberium Series discussion" -
And about 6 months later: http://cnc-comm.com/red-alert-stuff/

Get RA-ED (it's in the downloads section)
-
That would require a ARM version of Wine which I'm pretty sure doesn't exist.

It should be obvious when a fix is to disable DirectDraw acceleration on computers that allow that (That's what the ddraw.dll that floated around did). TS problems seem to be concentrated on mobile GPUs, but some desktop GPUs suffer as well. TS runs fine on my desktops Radeon and my netbooks GMA, but not my laptops GeForce. Though the issues are no consistent with a particular brand of GPU since all brands seem to have GPUs that TS doesn't like.

Download Tiberian Sun from here: http://cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=41, should solve the issue. TS only allows 2 people using the same serial to play a multiplayer game, but our TS installer generates a random number so TS thinks it has different serials. This is an oversight EA made when they made TS freeware.

After being off-line for months due to rewrites the main site is back online! Though all pages are not back online such as the site history among other things. If you spot some oddities (things that look out of place, are buggy or broken) please report them to me either though personal message or this topic. More pages will come back on-line as time passes, both old and new. I'd like to thank hifi who helped me with both design and coding ideas. On a final note check out this video by MNdakota aka godly-cheese Command & Conquer Online (CnCNet)

Where did you get the freeware version of Tiberian Sun? And why are you using Hamachi when CnCNet exists?
-
Or VirtualBox which is free
