  1. isn't there a windowed mode mod for d2k yet?
  2. And you're surprised they don't want to give you the opportunity to pull that crap here?
  3. I'm just joking, man Though I guess, at the moment, this indeed the only way to mod C&C95. They might want to take a look at my ini files to see what options are identified for each type so far
  4. Well, you can't force the game into using remap differently, so the way to do what you describe IS putting two shorter remap ranges on one row in the palette.cps.
  5. well, C&C1's betas are seen doing something similar with 2 house colours on buildings. The question is, though, what colours you'd use... the yellow fade on the palette is kind of... there already. I used the orange fade near the end of the palette as remap source for this experiment. Maybe the blue/brown row above the orange could work.
  6. Black Hand is still rather bright red target on the head and center of mass... I really dislike Renegade's shift from TD's urban camo to these fugly anonymous goon red and black super edgy goffik uniforms, and it's a pity they seem to have kept that.
  7. Nope. I will not add third party expansions to the official patch. This is exactly the reason I took the Spanish language out and made it a language pack. The Snow theater is a bit of an exception, on account of the fact it was originally made by Westwood, and just needed colour conversion. Of course, if I ever release said 1.06d, it will undoubtedly have the theater and terrain object controls in ini files, making internal support completely irrelevant.
  8. lol. Here we go out of our way to prove hacking is a tool we can use to do nice things like fixing game bugs and adding features, and what do you use as example for this? Cheating in the game
  9. Hah. It's a bit lower quality, but yea, wasn't too bad if I remember correctly. Note that this was a test of me messing with the remap source (first line of the palette.cps corner), hence why the humvee is the only units that's remapped. The others, not matching the new remap source, simply aren't remapped at all from their internal yellow colour
  10. Well, the easiest way is to simply dump a screenshot of the LAN lobby with cnc-ddraw's ctrl+s function to find out which colour index on the title image's palette to change. Of course, after that you still need to make sure the actual image isn't messed up by this colour change. By the way... I'm not so sure Wikia appreciates you using it for website purposes. That's really just a homepage for the mod, and not a wiki. There's no info on the actual mod units or anything.
  11. Here's also some stuff I cobbled together
  12. the units texture? You mean the palette.cps mod for the green colours? You should really adapt the palette of your main menu image to properly show these colours in the LAN lobby... Hmm. I was there when that colours mod was first posted... can't quite remember who made it though. Just wondering... where exactly on the ra.afraid.org site did you find that?
  13. Yeeeah... before CCHyper expanded the exe I worked on, I usually just crammed my hacks in the empty bytes left over from the data aligning
  14. Breaking the rules by saying bad stuff is one thing. Putting bots in our lobby, though, that's just absolutely not done.
  15. You know... I honestly know nothing at all about memory protection modes and page tables and stuff like that. Don't think I ever needed it to do C&C hacking, either. I generally just dump stuff in my disassembler, find out what to change, and, um, change it Header editing, though... that's quite a different beastie O_o
  16. At the moment, you can't. This theater was originally meant to be part of the Tiberian Dawn Xtended project, but that never really went anywhere. It kind of died due to a combination of me not really continuing development on C&C95 after my last patch release, and the lack of method to create these .mrf files. It'd be neat to get the Pirates theater finished and released, but, honestly, it's not up to me at this point, it's up to Reaperrr. It was his project. At the moment the terrain is still lacking a lot of stuff; none of the SHP files (tiberium, trees, civilian buildings) have been adapted, and even the actual terrain itself isn't 100% done; the river crossings and bridges simply don't exist, and have Temperate theater placeholders which look absolutely fugly in the new palette. Reaperrr actually responded in the thread about this tool on PPM. Since the lack of method to generate these .mrf files was one of the factors that actually stopped the development of TDX, we figured we could probably at least finish this terrain now. I posted everything new I created for this test (including the .mrf files) in the old beta forum of TDX, so, we'll see what will come from that.
  17. Are D2k languages really just the strings and sounds? Or are there actual graphics changes needed too? I'd imagine the font could be a problem...
  18. Doesn't EBFD already have customizable resolution? It's a 3D game...
  19. Dude. It even TELLS YOU to "Please contact link publisher". Don't bump old topics. Just PM the authors if you want those old maps.
  20. rabidsnypr: please stop bumping old topics. If you want to get those maps, and they're not in cncnet yet, just PM the authors.
  21. Eh. There are tons of RTS clones around. As long as they don't touch EA's intellectual property there's no issue there. Though, this is a forum of hackers and gamers... not sure they'll find any game designers here.
  22. No, that piece Iran posted is byte-code from inside the exe file, converted to readable programming language. It's rather useless unless you're familiar with hacking
  23. Ahh. It's my computer architecture classes all over again (I'm probably the only one who attended these "because I liked them", as opposed to "because damn this stuff is hard and I don't wanna flunk this subject")
  24. hey
  25. yes, because surely no two people can independently come up with a nickname as amazingly unique as "extreme force"
