C&C maps are a .ini and a .bin file... you need both to have the whole thing.
-
it doesn't have LAN at all. I discussed this with Admin before.
-
N3trunner, I recently retested all that, and XCC Mix Editor works fine as long as you set the type to Tiberian Dawn before saving. You can change that with the Options button.
-
I think he automatically assumed they were TS type mixfiles because you made em with XCC Editor. See, XCC Mixer has trouble saving TD type mixfiles. But afaik, XCC Mix Editor doesn't, as long as you set the type correctly.
-
still, just the empty movies.mix should be enough.
-
If it gives an "incorrect password" error message when you try to log in, it means the user name is already taken though.
-
Hm... I'd rather help them with the reverse engineering part. I think Hyper already made a hi-res hack for SS...

yes, indeed... why on earth did you pronounce the Y as an ü? -

Nyerguds' C&C95 1.06 patch project featured on battlecast primetime!
Nyerguds replied to Tore's topic in CnCNet News
sure. It's mentioned on the downloads page on commandandconquer.com too: http://commandandconquer.com/portal/site/tiberium/downloads/ (bottom of the page) Now if only Apoc would pronounce my name correctly... that's Nyer like "Nyet!" only with an R at the end, and the last part is "goods", not "guts" -
pichorra... as I said, that may change the port CnCNet uses, but the real problem is that C&C ITSELF uses UDP port 8054 anyway. Modifying the CnCNet configuration won't change that.
-
Problem is, it's not just the port CnCNet uses. It's simply the port C&C itself uses.
-
OP needs cleaning up...

Why not convert c&c95 units, construction, in 3D?

N3t, Win98 doesn't HAVE Compat mode, so the registry entry my setup program adds to enable it simply won't have any effect on Win98

The patched game is supposed to be ran on an OS that isn't 10 years old. Also, what do you mean with "video compatibility"? If you mean your notebook can't handle 1024x768, then I should remind you that the hi-res is OPTIONAL. You can ALWAYS just switch back by running CCSetup.exe As for the huge battles and airstrike crashes, can't help you, never touched anything related to that. If you give me the error message addresses I could look into it, but as it is, you just sound extremely unhelpful and ungrateful. Not to mention you're leeching your avatar from my site without even asking.

IE controls suck... they're one big security hole.

eh what? There's a VAST difference between the system rights of a web page in a browser, and a separate application. There's no way a website can run the kind of network client a separate program can.

nice Oh btw, I updated the Snow temperat.mix to make the tiberium trees really show as tiberium tree. http://nyerguds.arsaneus-design.com/cnc95upd/snow_temperat_for_mission_making.zip

Irony.. you can also take screenshots by just pressing Print Screen. I wrote a guide on how to fix those, here: http://www.cncforums.com/new/showpost.php?p=16040&postcount=11 The screenshots taken that way will also be loads better because they're not saved in jpeg, and use the exact original palette as it's displayed ingame.
-
yeah, impossible.. and if it would run in window, all the stuff around it would look horribly ugly, because the game forces the entire system to use its 256-colour palette. I've seen it on the second monitor when my bro was running it on his dual monitor setup.. wasn't pretty

I also added some preview images on the site, including one showing me playing against Ambone on CnCNet
