Visit the website, it should give you some details about the ban. I think there is a way to contact the gamesurge staff on that site too. If you don't find a way to contact them, then copy paste the text from that website and show it to us, maybe we can try to help you with it.

I'm not aware of such a video pack, where do you have it from?

TIberian Sun/Firestorm "Unable to read scenario"
FunkyFr3sh replied to Dmizzle0's topic in Tiberian Sun
Are you sure you did not apply any patches after the installation? Is the no-cd patch enabled in the config program? You installed this version here I guess? http://tore29.com/tsins/TSinstaller3-beta11r6.exe -
G-Line is a server ban, it is ban from the gamesurge network (not a cncnet ban). That means the ban was not placed by us, we can't help with that sadly. Please visit this website to see all details about the G-Line: https://gamesurge.net/utils/gline/ Often these bans happen automatically when the network detects abuse, it can happen when you try to connect with more than 3 computers at the same time

The cncnet client will be fixed on the next update, live-stream button won't be showing up until that

I know that crash, it's in the top 3 of all crashes known if I remember right (Don't have the logs are atm) I looked into it once, but I don't know why it happens. It's about buildings, it tries to get the width of a building that doesn't seem to exist (null pointer) Can you explain exactly what you are doing and also tell us the full settings you are using. Are you sure it's always the same crash you are getting? Can you maybe try to record some games where it's crashing?

I had that once on linux too, it's very random. No idea why it happens

A couple of suggestions to make the game even more fun
FunkyFr3sh replied to Jump Jet's topic in Tiberian Sun
Yes, that's a big problem. I saw some videos on youtube made by guys new to cncnet and it was really sad to see how they tried hard to play and got kicked multiple times. We need to find a way to make it easy to find a game with equally experienced players, I already have some ideas and I will hopefully get it this up and running soon. We had this before, but we can't enabled it currently cause the server anti spam is too strict (it would cause a lot more traffic sadly) Not a bad idea, I wanted to simplify the UI anyways, there are just too many checkboxes. This update will take some time though, I hate to mess around with the UI stuff That's also in my to-do list, don't have a full plan for it yet though -
Where does it happen, in online games? What game installation do you have? (the one from out downloads?)
-
Older games can be played here on cncnet for free, the first 3 games are freeware. Get them here: https://cncnet.org/download A ladder is in the works, but currently not available for ra95. You will be able to get one 2vs2 after another, there are still loads of players online! All the game installers here work fine on windows 10, you don't need any settings or tweaks. For the newer games check this site out: https://cnc-online.net/

Nothing was changed that could affect the rendering. Didn't you had that problem before? (less often I guess?)
-
This is the latest that we have: https://cncnet.org/tiberian-sun

You can try it via the portingkit, that's free (unlike crossover) You need to own the game though http://portingkit.com/game/202 I didn't try red alert 2 in the porting kit yet, but in case the game runs slow then there are different ways to speed it up, using ddwrapper(+novideomemory) for example
-
You can modify the rules.ini (spawn.xdp) file in notepad to raise the limits, make sure you share the file with your friends afterwards else they cannot join your games anymore
-
you can find the "ra95crash.dmp" file in your game folder. You can upload it here or somewhere else and I have a look into it. I guess it's just a random crash that happens sometimes? Or doesn't your game work at all? Try to provide as many information as possible, like, what were you doing exactly, playing singleplayer? what mission? Do you use windows or linux? etc...
-
CnCNet client Fixed a crash that occurred sometimes when text was copied into the chat textbox Debugging of Out Of Sync errors has been started (still a long way to go though) Performance improvements for client start up and the friendlist loading time Red Alert Fixed another mouse cursor crash on Mac/Linux (wine) A possible cause for game disconnect/Out of sync was fixed when a player hit abort during the match Out of sync errors were replaced by a better solution, the game will now try to kick off the offending players and allows the others to continue playing

Game freezes after seconds of starting the game(only in single player campaign)
FunkyFr3sh replied to Boris's question in Support
Do you have any compatibility mode enabled for dune2000.exe? I know that the windows XP mode can cause the game to freeze -
Try to play around with the rendering options. I heard some people freeze when DxWnd is used, window mode is working though. For fullscreen you'll have to try the other rendering options
-
You probably had the portingkit I guess, you can get it here: http://portingkit.com/en/
-
I guess it might be better if you ask in the cnc-online forums about that, they know more about the newer games! https://cnc-online.net/
-
Hi! The first C&C doesn't support that sadly There are some scripted maps though, I remember MattAttack made some Co-Op maps that you can probably find here in the forums somewhere

Last time we had the ladder running we ended up with a lot of problems, players refused to play against each to other avoid losses. They dodge good players and hunt for noobs, go fake afk when a good player joined their room etc... When the ladder goes back online then I would like to have these problems fixed first, forced quick match seems to be the only solution for that, but it's a lot of extra work sadly. So currently I'm not working on it, this also won't change anytime soon. tahj is working on ladder related things currently though, like clan support and clan games (ranked 2vs2 etc..). But that will probably be available for tiberian sun and yuri's revenge only at first
-
Do you maybe have 2 internet connects at the same time at that place where it fails? Like, one wifi and one cable? CnCNet yuri's revenge doesn't support peer to peer games, there is always a server in between. The CnCNet spawner code also makes the port random for tunnel games, so you can't port forward since you don't know what port will be used

That's a similar crash, also in a mouse related function. It crashes for the same reason, so I guess this is also a mac (wine) only crash. This one seems to have working mouse coordinates though... Anyways, I can apply the same workaround there too and it should be gone
