I've done this but it's still not changing? Make sure the file is really named spawn.xdp and NOT spawn.xdp.ini, because windows hides the extension by default and doesn't allow you to change it

Red Alert 1 AI Difficulty change in skirmish
FunkyFr3sh replied to darksidedsam's question in Support
hey! You can add new ai players with the button in the top right using any difficulty you like. To remove a existing AI player use the X buttons. -
Did you maybe press Tab on your keyboard? You can disable the sidebar with this hotkey. If you didn't press tab, make sure DPI scaling is disabled: https://forums.cncnet.org/index.php?topic=4415.msg33053#msg33053

You both need to install the same game

Error adding "Factions" to TS on CnCNet
FunkyFr3sh replied to NimoStar's topic in Modding Discussion
You might be able to do that with the ts client from rampa http://www.moddb.com/mods/tiberian-sun-client I don't know how it works though, maybe look at their ts mod http://www.moddb.com/mods/the-dawn-of-the-tiberium-age -
You have zooming enabled in windows?

.mpr and .map should work fine .mix files don't work, you need to use XCC Mixer to extract the maps

Windows Power cell pop up, then cant see game but can hear it?
FunkyFr3sh replied to Dutch00900's topic in Red Alert 2
You can try DxWnd, it's the only solution that allows you to get back into the game after alt+tab/minimize extract the files into your game folder: https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=0B5by5H1Q2PxEelRrcFkwanZCZmM -
It should work fine, except if you have 2 routers. Like one wifi and another one without wifi. If you have 2 routers then make sure your wifi router is set to bridged mode
-
You can try "Graphics Patch" or "DDwrapper+NoVideoMemory". Both of them can speed the game up, but might not work on every pc

This is the second most popular game crash. Drawing related crash I played a lot and never happened to me, not sure why it happens for some players. I guess you might be doing something that triggers it, something that other players don't usually do Can you maybe upload your settings files here? redalert.ini and ddraw.ini Don't think anyone actually looked into that crash yet, so I don't really know what happens
-
You seem to have an older version. Try our latest version: CnCNet.dmg
-
for cncnet multiplayer / skirmish you'll need to rename the file to spawn.xdp
-
Are you using the name "Styles" in the game lobby too? I found 10 out of sync logs with this name from the last 30days, you were not the one who triggered the bug. The problem is not on your end Often it happens when someone got a really unstable connection
-
He needs the .iso files, freeware .rar release files or cd's . Start RA1installer and make sure to select the CD installation. Browse to the folder where he got the files (or select the CD drive) He could also just install it on a pc that has a internet connection, then copy the game folder to a usb stick and carry it around. The folder is fully portable, he can just copy it to another pc
-
It's possible, but takes some effort You can host a game room with password until such feature will be added though
-
It probably deleted the file when you started a new game. I guess you have to copy it out next time before you continue playing
-
Closed games have now the darker font, the open ones the bright font Tunnel games used to have the dark font before, thats why it's a bit confusing now. But there are no more tunnel games, only p2p/automatic
-
before you contact them you should try if you can connect via webchat or the other cncnet client from red alert 1. Maybe the problem is related to the client. No need to stress gamesurge staff in that case
-
In red alert 1 you can use bookmarks or Alt+<groupnumber> or H for home https://downloads.cncnet.org/Games/RedAlert/Hotkeys.txt
-
can you upload the log file too? (ra95-crash*.dmp)

Never use the XP compat mode, it is known for its freezing. We could reproduce it on cnc1, ra1 and dune 2000. You don't need any compat mode at all, make sure cnc-ddraw is enabled and the renderer is set to gdi in ddraw.ini
