  1. You're not the first to suggest this: https://forums.cncnet.org/topic/6192-suggestions-more-players-in-one-number-slot-more-team-colours-to-choose-from/#comment-49021
  2. On a slightly more toned down note, the issues seems intermittent and seems to coincide with the anti-alt on buildings patch.
  3. I've noticed a recurring issue when one player will always get an internal error on game load, although I'm not able to recreate the issue at will. The solution is for the host to just play another map, or for the host to re-create the game (the player who gets the error, will repeatedly get the error - even after restarting the client). I'd also echo Matt's point about the Chinese having issues, although that could just be down to the Internet situation they have in that country.
  4. Hah. Hopefully get some games with more familiar players next time. I'm not sure who strike is, but he said it was the first time he'd ever played sedona. Shame the game where jumby picked yuri was missed, as that was a better game.
  5. I'm from the UK. I can play this Friday at 7:00~14:00 in USA EST/EDT (which is 12pm to 5pm). I'll let cr@sh/mindwar say when they're both available...
  6. Team China (i.e. whichever clan wants to play): say a date and time and we'll see.
  7. Joe gave me some of the details before I saw this topic. I have an account etc. now and will try doing some testing later on.
  8. For the stats.dmp data, is it the case that you understand the format/how to parse it etc. but just want test data? Or are you essentially reversing the format of the file?
  9. I'm sure you've already thought of this, but would it be worth "just" building a clan ladder instead? No need for a qm function that way and people can always do 1v1 clans if they so wish
  10. I've actually only recently been able to get back into my cncnet (forum) account. The password reset function wasn't working until the latest forum upgrade. There's usually one/two "good" or "pro" game going on at any one time - but always team games. Very rarely do you see competitive 1v1 matches. The obvious answer is that if people play some form of competition (ladder or whatever) then that will make them more skilled/competitive.
  11. Hi, I can't seem to find a previous topic about this, which is surprising considering how many people complain about this. How are the spots on cncnet decided when all players have their start position as random? Is it actual random for all spots (as in an RNG)? The reason I ask is because cncnet (perhaps sods law) always seems to pick the "wrong" spots when for example playing 1v1 on a 4 player map, or a 2v2 on a 6 (or 8 ) player map. For example, on dry heat spot always seems to work out as spot 1 vs spot 2. Or on HFO the other day in a 2v2, the spots were team A 1 & 5, team B 2 & 4. I get the impression that whatever logic is in play is not the same as WOL/XWIS etc. Would it be possible to add some spot logic in? For example on 2v2 maps, something like... pick a spot for player 1 at random, then whatever spot that is make sure it's always two spots away for player 2 (so spot 1 & 3, 2 & 4). Or in other words... $mapSize = 4; $offset = floor($mapSize / 2); $player1 = int(ceil(rand($mapSize))); $player2 = ($player1 + $offset) % $mapSize; if ( 0 == $player2 ){ $player2 = $mapSize}; (not perfect but you get the idea)
  12. Hi, Just a minor feature that could do with adjusting. If you're in a game lobby and you receive a PM and then try and reply back, you reply both to the PM and the game lobby you're in (as you type your message appears in both input boxes, and when you hit return both messages get submitted). Handy if you want to message both groups with the same message, not so handy if you want your private message private .
  13. off the top of my head arctic circle and territorial imperative are two other 4v4 maps with water
  14. it happened again just now with just a plain "kick", no quitting
  15. there's probably a bunch of players on cnc able to play... any more details on this (rules, where the games will be, time, etc)?
  16. There doesn't seem to be a set player count from what I've observed, but whatever you've changed seems to have done trick - haven't seen the problem since anyway. Thanks!
  17. Separate post for cncclientlog as there's another feature which doesn't allow you to modify-in attachments .. >< cncnetclient.log
  18. Hi Grant, we discussed this briefly on CNC. The scenario: A player gets kicked from the game, but still remains in the player list. Everyone accepts, but once that happens and the game host hits "start" everyone's CNC will crash. Screenshot attached (the error message hides it, but skinsgun59 is still showing as in the game, even though he was removed over a minute ago). This bug happens frequently. One "solution" to fix is to update any game setting. This seems to refresh the player list in the game lobby thus removing the already removed player (if that makes sense).
  19. Hey, More of a bug report rather than a help topic. The game list in the lobby seems to populate then lose its contents periodically (it does it bit by bit). After a while it comes back again, then repeats the process over and over again. From speaking to people I'm not the only one affected.
