rabidsnypr
Do not ever link to Warez here. I edited your post, this will be the first and last warning I'll give you. how are they warez???? the games are old. From like 94 and 95. and isn't warez a website or was a website. That blog spot isn't warez and neither was that torrent site. I don't understand how they were harmful in anyways with the community and yea i dled that copy of Z and it was saying on my brother's computer it was infected with mna trojan. So if that's what you were referring too, I was gonna remove the link for it. I was at my girlfriend's after I posted this the rest of the day and i don't get good cell phone service out there and she doesn't have internet because of where she lives. And 1 warning for something i didn't know, thanks brah! i think i will get my banned lifted because 1. I don't know what you are talking about warez and 2 it's not like I did it on purpose. thanks! p.s. i apologize deeply for the one link having a trojan in it. I didn't know and I didn't mean to post it. I will take responsibility for that because I should of downloaded it first and then scanned it. Tore
Distributing a game that is STILL BEING SOLD is 100% Warez and illegal. In fact if I'd be 100% correct about it distributing any material under copyright without permission is illegal. Copyright expire after 70+ years depending on the work in question. AchromicWhite
I once played an RTS called "SWARM" (from memory). But I've never been able to find it since. The maps have a bunch of 'hives' on them, for different insects. Technically, you don't play as a specific race, but you get a bonus if you are using any of the hives of your chosen race. The hives have an auto defense attached to them and obviously create units and can be destroyed by units. If you destroy a hive, you get it. From memory there were 4 types of hives, ants, beetles, spiders and wasps (in that order of coolness, lol) and each hive can create 3 types of that species. I wasn't much of an RTS gamer at that time, but I recon that was actually a pretty cool game. We only had the demo version though. -Liam Edit: Just did a little Googling; It's called Swarm Assault, and there's also a Swarm Assault

Please direct me to website from these companies that are selling the products still besides amazon and ebay. Because there isn't any! Thanks. So quit making excuses to try to ban me. cn2mc
Then go ahead and post links to some child porn, see how well that goes for you... Just don't protest about your rights here to the site creator. Anyway, back on topic. The first RTS I really played is C&C and it's still the best to me. I haven't played a lot of other RTS, but basically went through all the major ones. WCI and WCII, especially the latter, were nice little games, albeit what in our language we'd call 'wooden' ones. Just not fluid enough (as Dune II wasn't). They feel like you're still pushing about game pieces or cards on a board as opposed to a real fight. I played the first AoE too, not a bad game but still suffering from the same flaws of WC and many other RTS at the time - basically the same units pitted against eachother and an overly complex resource system. Also, long boring games. TA (not Kingdoms, haven't tried that) had some nice features and ideas but was just too borng too. And again, very much the same old hit-for-hit battles when you actually got down to fighting. I confess I like SC:BW a lot (not into SCII) and I even enjoy watching those crazy Korean competitive matches, it's perhaps the only game that managed to cover all the ground C&C covered back in '95 and then some. Although I still prefer playing C&C to it. Not really into new RTS, I prefer good old 2D rendered animation to fancy 3D effects, and I also believe that many of the automated unit commands (such as attack move in SC) take away from the fun in these games. I linked you to Z on Steam already, as for the other game you never linked to any download. Do not try to judge me as you seemingly know nothing about me. In the 7 years this site has been up 2 people have been banned. I could have banned you outright as described in the forum rules, but I gave you a second chance, do not waste it. I see no "ban Nazi" in doing that.

He linked to it in that very post; it's still being sold on Steam. If a game is not freeware, it is illegal to distribute it. Plain and simple. Abandonware that's not freeware is still illegal to distribute. Small sites like this one really can't afford risking C&D letters for supporting warez. Oh, and using the "Report to moderator" function to report a post made by the head honcho website owner really won't endear you to anyone.
r34ch
I played Warzone2100 years ago on PSX. To my joy I found the original studio had released it as open source and now a team have made it high res and run nativelyon linux
Chimas
My first RTS was Sun Tzu's Ancient Art of War, in a time the RTS concept didn't exist yet. I dream someday it may be possible to remake and update the game. It's a 200Kb game ...
UltATK
Yes. Don't post pirated copies of software. I know for a fact that if EA saw this website distributing pirated copies of C&C related content they would request to the web host to have all C&C graphics and content removed from the site to exterminate the problem entirely. I've had it happen to me before GoDaddy would make the domains work again. Just because the C&C games on this website are freeware doesn't mean they can't remove it on the grounds it's their copy written material. Haha. This site does host the freeware C&C games, and EA doesn't mind about that at all. I personally host a hacked full version of Command & Conquer 1 on my website, which includes the Covert Operations (which was technically never made freeware), and I was the first to publicly upload the ISOs of Counterstrike and The Aftermath online after RA became freeware (which were also never officially made freeware). And you know what Big Bad Electronic Arts did to me for that? The EA C&C community manager congratulated me on my work to keep the classics alive, and gave me the Ultimate Collection for free So, no... EA pretty much ignores the C&C games nowadays. We got nothing to fear from EA. But those two aren't EA games, and aren't in any way freeware, or companions to freeware.

What I did cost them money so they came after me and not only did they come after me they wanted ALL C&C related images off the website. That includes GDI logo etc. They wanted no association with the website and demanded a apology and to never distribute their content the way I did it again. They could technically do it here too. IF they wanted to. That's all I'm saying so yes it's a bad idea to piss EA off or any other company when you have their content PUBLISHED ANYWHERE.
