Allen262
So I take it most of the Interior code was removed?
FunkyFr3sh
Not sure, didn't really look around much for it and i don't have much hope

Zjorz
Is it possible to assign the windows hotkeys to copy and paste? so ctrl-c ctrl-v? Also will you bundle this with an updated RAED for the ultimate ra map editor pack?
Jacko
If RAED was updated with better trigger support, maybe Iran's additional triggers (hint hint) I would be thrilled. I do remember RAED had some kind of jungle/desert theatre support
FunkyFr3sh
ctrl+c ctrl+v ctrl+x are already working with edwin i will prolly make a package with raed and edwin soon yea
ROB
Epic. Never liked making raw maps with RAED, this will make it a breeze
FunkyFr3sh
Update: I tried to limit the cpu usage with a tiny trick, normally the editor eats up 100% of 1 core, now it should stay at 0-1% while editing the map. Once you open any menu it will go to 100% again since i didn't fix that up yet. Testers are needed, please let me know if it works
FunkyFr3sh
Update: iran's updated version of the raed editor is now also included in the download
Zjorz
I hope the ones on cnc comm can be replaced with this. These editors are vastly superior to the original ones!
ROB
You kinda have to dig through a few forums and sift through topics to find the goodies like this, some uploads should be updated  I'm currently active mapping so I'll try this new version and report on the CPU usage. EDIT I just tried the new version of edwin. My CPU usage stayed normal the entire time even when opening menus.
Nyerguds
I just tried the new version of edwin. My CPU usage stayed normal the entire time even when opening menus. Mind you, on multi-core you have to make sure it doesn't take up one full core. It'll never take more than that.

FunkyFr3sh
Update: barren tileset added raed updated to read barren (edwin did already support it) RedAlertEditorLauncher.exe updated
Chad1233
There is a small bug for RAED. The preview for SBAG CYCL BRIK and BARB are missing but display fine when placed. Also i suggest adding the .mix where aftermath.ini is loaded since RAED can read and save the .ini to the directory which is a useful feature. Allen262
SBAG CYCL BRIK and BARB are old errors. I said somthing to Iran about this MONTHS ago. It is a bug we can live with I think.
Nyerguds
For some reason, dragging and dropping a file into RedAlertEditorLauncher.exe gives a "file not found" error box. Strangely enough, when ran through the console instead with the same parameter, the error did not pop up, but nothing was even done with it anyway, so I wonder why the message is even in there [edit] The error does pop up when giving a full path to a file. lol. FunkyFr3sh
that happens because the cncnet launcher is using params to switch between the editors: http://funkyfr3sh.cncnet.org/files/RA95Launcher.exe It does either pass "edwin.exe" or "raed.exe", full path doesn't work You can however drag and drop any file on edwin or raed directly
Nyerguds
Sure, I know that. It was just odd to see that launcher do that

FunkyFr3sh
Found out why edwin was not showing the interior tiles, if someone likes to test around get it here: http://funkyfr3sh.cncnet.org/files/ra/edwin-interior-test.zip seems to be possible to create maps with it, but it will still crash when you click on the sidebar button so you'll have to use the tilebrowser dialog (space hotkey) Somone said that the flag icons are missing and thats why it was crashing, so it might just fully work if someone adds the missing files to interior.mix with this patched edwin you should be able to extend the other theaters and add new tiles using the names of the interior files hint: drag and drop the interior map on top of the new edwin.exe
Allen262
The flag flagfly.shp is loaded from the conquer.mix. The flag is bing loaded but is is being listed in the Ridge catagory Over all this is progress!
Allen262
Funky I was thinking today (yes I know a scarry thought) but if there is a real want for the interior why not add an new interior that uses the same files names as all of the other theaters? The interior uses less tiles (tilesets) than the outdoor theaters. This way all of the current interior tiles could be listed in the right catagory and new tilesets could be added. FunkyFr3sh
That should work yea, but I think I will look around a bit more, maybe there is some hidden switch for interior and the editor just supports it out of the box
Allen262
Well I hope there is but if not let me know. It may also not hurt to let Tschokky know as I think it would be a good idea to add to the basic interior. Adding rivers and open water may not be a bad idea.
