- WW players stick to playing WW maps and stop abusing modders.

- Mod map players stick to playing mod maps and stop abusing WW players.

- Those who like both play both.

 

Just play whichever you enjoy the most.

In all honesty, you know the TS community deserved to whittle away when we were all always at each others throats. I mean, even the likes Stefor stopped only talking to his fellow Sharks/Champ members and started socialising with newbies like me for the good of the community, and yet we drove him off as repayment. Maybe the online communities of other online games are the same, I don't know, but considering the other communities I encountered were much bigger, maybe I just didn't see that side of them. After all, when I played other games online, their communities were so big that it was rare I even saw the same players more than once.

In the end, its better to do what we did back in westwood, play with randoms expecting tons of dud games, idiotic rambling arguments. With the aim to find good players, friendly players, to befriend, and to play amongst in a sort of clan.

 

People who argue over mod maps, super speed mod maps, and regular maps, in such a way that it brings up tons of insults, bad mouthing, and a ton of other idiocy.

 

Congratulations, You're probably the reason EA and other publishers think that the RTS genra is a dead market.

Some people find different styles of TS fun. Some people like the high intensity micro-management of GDI on maps with limited resources such as Terrace, and others prefer the more laid back, defensive-oriented attributes of nod. Admittedly, the two styles aren't really compatible for the same maps, but that kind of thing prevents the community from being restricted to one map, possibly. And take Irwe3 on YouTube for instance, who does playthroughs of the missions, and spends an hour building up his base with concrete everywhere, and walls surrounding his bases before he even builds up a force to destroy the enemy base to complete the mission. He'd never be able to play online with that strategy, since the games would be over before he even finished building his base, but he admits he prefers to play that style, even though he acknowledges that it's boring for people to watch.
