If you want to make it a little clear watch this video:

I've gotten to where I need to drag and drop the .pcx file into the xcc mixer. The Xcc mixer will not accept the file. When I search for the .pcx file under file -> open -> it will not show any .pcx files, only MIX files (*.big; *.dat; *.mix; *.pkg;)

I am using XCC mixer 1.47.

Render map, let it create a thumbnail or resize full preview to to 512px by longest edge, save as jpg/png and convert with xcc mixer to TS map preview, insert into map with notepad by replacing the preview section.

Hi frequenzy. I'm having trouble getting a 512px thumbnail into the XCC mixer application. It just simply wont accept it. I've tried running XCC mixer as administrator. I have the latest version 1.47 installed. I'm running it on OS Windows 10.

I've used the thumbnail as .png and .pcx to no avail.

No, I had it as a .pcx file and it still didnt work, but I've now figured it out. I have to deposit the file first to the utilities folder of XCC then I can manipulate the file through the XCC program. The yosefanon tutorial shows him dragging and dropping the file from his desktop to the XCC gui then copying it to TS preview, but that didn't work for me.

Edit:

Thanks again everyone for the help. Much appreciated!

Yo,
Follow these tips:

  • Render a map
  • Use adobe photoshop to reduce its size around 600x400 or lower (too big filesize failure uploading @cncnet database)
  • Use irfanView to convert JPG files to PCX files (File,Save As)
  • open XCC mixer drag PCX file into your XCC's main screen
  • When PCX file appeared in your XCC's main screen, right click-Copy as Map (TS) Preview
  • And Right click>>>Explore
  • Find same named note file and copy whole text
  • Open your map with notepad++
  • find [preview]
  • start selecting from preview to last number of For example;

[Preview]
Size=0,0,700,289

[PreviewPack]
1=4A8AIAAPencqjH04lYc+jH04iHwqgoQzencqiHwqkYYyiHwqjH04ogGIfNMCjH04JwsAhn
