Hello, what version of Windows do you have? You should open the configuration tool and see if things like the graphics patch or a different render might work.
-
Hmm. Both of you should try different renderers in the configuration tool and try it out in skirmish to see if it lags there too. When the games run satisfactory in skirmish try a multiplayer game.

Upload a photo of what it looks like on the TV. Then we can go from there
-
It has been moved to a different server because it is being separated from CnCNet.
-
Hmm. You have probably set the game to a resolution it can't handle. Try a different one.
-
There's also the "New poll" button to the right of "New topic".

I split this from another topic. I've heard other people connecting fine in VM's before. Are you able to connect to GameSurge using a normal IRC client from the VM (mIRC, XChat etc.)? Edit: I just tested myself. Other IRC clients work, CnCNet does not. I guess Funky can explain why.

The higher the resolution the more of the map you see hence why everything gets smaller. Try playing in 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, 1024 x 600 (or 575) if you want higher res, but don't want super tiny units. Alternatively 640 x 400 still works nicely. The file you should upload is in your RA folder and is called ra95.dmp If I remember correctly.

cnc is short for Command & Conquer. For some reason some people have started using cnc to refer to CnCNet as well. It becomes a matter of context. I play cnc (I play Command & Conquer) I play on cnc (I play on CnCNet) I play cnc on cnc (you get it)

I guess this is Norton being super paranoid again. https://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2015-100115-3302-99 It is must likely a false positive.

Searching for the error message and I found some people mentioning that they solved the "Registration Timeout" issue by renewing their IP. It is a long shot, but you can try it. This can be doing by opening the Windows commandline (cmd) and doing these commands. Note: This will temporarily disconnect you as your router gives you a new IP. So make sure you aren't doing any important Internet (or LAN) related things before doing these commands ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew If that doesn't work then GameSurge might not like the network you are on or maybe the YR CnCNet client has issues on your setup. You can try downloading RA1 and checking if that works as it has a different client: http://cncnet.org/red-alert the online version is only a 15 MB download and includes the game.
-
Hmm, have you tried a different username?
-
When I typed that RA1 had 200 players and YR had 100. Sometimes it is close, but most of the time RA1 has the most players.

You can check for G-lines here: https://gamesurge.net/utils/gline/

Most of the time remakes usually don't end well. Some of them even manage to alienate both old fans and new players a like. However there are good ones out there like the Homeworld: Remastered Collection, though I was a bit disappointed at how they make HW1 play almost just like HW2.

Original discs for RA2 and I am not able to get them to work (Win10pro 64bit)
Tore replied to SirDanBaker's question in Support
What is preventing you from playing/installing is SafeDisc. In Windows 10 Microsoft removed support for SafeDisc and SecuROM making it impossible to run games that use those copy protections the way they were intended to be run. http://www.howtogeek.com/230773/how-to-play-pc-games-that-require-safedisc-or-securom-drm-on-windows-10-8.1-8-7-and-vista/ You can either buy Command & Conquer The Ultimate Collection which doesn't use SafeDisc or you can attempt to follow this guide. -

Alex has a chequered history. I guess it all depends on if the other people in the CnCNet team can trust him and if he is willing to do it.

Not all the games have ladders. Currently only RA1 and TS have functioning ladders. (missing C&C1, Dune 2k and YR). The currently running ladder for RA1 and TS still has a few issues with it such as games occasionally not registering. The most popular game on CnCNet is RA1. No one has said the YR ladder will never happen.
-
No one said that the YR ladder will never be done. The ladder for RA1 and TS is not fully stable either and we have always said that the YR ladder will be done after the RA1 and TS ladders are stable. That being said YR actually had many people playing before any talk of a ladder for YR happened. If you want a ladder to be competitive right now you can always play on XWIS until the ladder here is done. That is Funky's client, YR is Rampa's client.

SpamServ usually bans for a few hours. Since it is a bot unfortunate situations like this can happen.
-
You have been G-lined. This was due to a mistake at GameSurge's end. Try again.
-
At the moment no one has the time to focus on YR. Everybody else is focusing on the other games CnCNet supports. (C&C1, RA1, Dune 2k, TS) YR is at the moment in a state of getting updates only if show stopper bugs show up. The YR ladder (leaderboard) is mostly done server side. This basically means that if someone wants to help out with the ladder they would need to know how to get around C# for the client (for authentication) and some assembly to get the game to send data.
