Strange. That's just an irc channel...

There's other graphics patches like that. The DDWrapper one might help?

Let's Play Command & Conquer: The Special Operations
Nyerguds replied to TaxOwlbear's topic in C&C 1
There's little point to beating that one though; the AI never builds or attacks That is the most horribly un-tactical play of this mission you could possibly have done. You literally sent that entire huge army to its death just to kill some civilians O_o You didn't even load your APCs before crossing that tiberium! -
Ignore that stupid barn. Rush into the village. Once you move in there you get more reinforcements. For the rest... use grenadiers against the tanks. As for rocket guys, minigunners make short work of them, and you can just crush them with your APCs too. As sgtmyers88 said, this is a tactical mission. Bait enemies into following a lone minigunner, lure them into ambushes. You have to be tactical or this just won't work

The login form gave "not responding"? Sheesh, people, learn to use multithreading -_-

Ah, sorry then. It's just, for their online play, XWIS put a stripped copy of RA2 online, with the justification that to actually play online (on XWIS, that is) they'd need a key anyway. Since our own online play system (CnCNet) can't do key checks (we aren't an EA partner; we don't have key lists to check), there have been people using that instead of a legal copy. And, notably, one of the things stripped from it is the music, so most of the time we get this question it's just because they're using that (technically illegal) version  Anyway... that is quite peculiar. RA2 has an ingame track list, right? Can you check if there are any tracks in it there?

C&C Tiberian Dawn Redux is back! Version 1.4 now released!
Nyerguds replied to sgtmyers88's topic in CnCNet News
For some bizarre reason this seems to just be a "CnCNet news" section now Looking at the gigantic amount of sticky threads in your section, I can see why xD Nah jk. You'll have to take that up with Tore though; I'm not sure how that user groups stuff works. You should get full access to at least the stuff on your own subforum section... Though if you do want that cleaned up for you in the mean time, just pm me which topics from that gigantic heap to unsticky -
You're using the 'free' XWIS version, aren't you?

C&C95/Tiberian Dawn- Carry Over Money & Credits vs. Tiberium
Nyerguds replied to MattAttack's topic in Mapping Tutorials
That would kind of defeat the point of the test, yea -
C&C95/Tiberian Dawn- Carry Over Money & Credits vs. Tiberium
Nyerguds replied to MattAttack's topic in Mapping Tutorials
Wait, you mean that if I harvest and regrow the whole map five times over, but I just build more silos instead of using the build-cancel trick to clean out my silos, I wouldn't get any money from that in the next mission? :O Did you try the other one, CarryOverCap? I don't think anyone ever tested what it did, but it sure seems to imply that could be "capacity", aka, stored tiberium. -
The truck doesn't "suicide"; the spy jumped out and let it crash into the turret. The spy WAS the truck's driver.

What? Are you sure you're using "XCC Mixer", and not one of the other tools? XCC Mixer is a file browser/conversion suite. Double-clicking a mix file in the file browser just opens it. It doesn't extract a thing unless you copy it out or convert it.

HD Music Pack for Red Alert (Version 2 with Stereo)
Nyerguds replied to Lightning Hunter's topic in Red Alert
Really, in this day and age, who still cares about reuploading or redownloading a couple hundred megabytes? You'll use more traffic the next time Steam finds some game to update in your library  -
Is there a full setup guide?
Nyerguds replied to RetroPerspectiveGaming's topic in CnCNet Discussion
The TD patch does offer to launch the config tool after completing the setup, though. -
Let's Play Command & Conquer: The Special Operations
Nyerguds replied to TaxOwlbear's topic in C&C 1
Too bad about the chinooks. That flare trigger was originally broken in the mission (as you can see in Christo's playthrough); I repaired it when I included them into the 1.06 patch. When I first played it, somehow both Nod harvesters had started harvesting up north and I couldn't land there because the tiberium had grown all over the revealed spot -

Oh man, that's the one where Christo161 just rushed his forces straight to the enemy base and owned it xD -
c&c95 1.06c r3 have no perfect sidebar, please help
Nyerguds replied to carlos444_444's topic in C&C 1
So is slowing down the game speed, y'know -
You were the only one mentioning RA3 It's entirely possible the RA3 formats are the same, but all my knowledge on the subject stems from helping on the Tiberian Dawn mod for C&C3, so the details I gave are most certainly correct in relation to C&C3.

c&c95 1.06c r3 have no perfect sidebar, please help
Nyerguds replied to carlos444_444's topic in C&C 1
The game always had only 8 icons, and the hack the cncnet people made for the sidebar makes the power bar animation all weird, so I didn't include it in my patch Anyway... Funky posted the link to the enhancements pack here: http://forums.cncnz.com/topic/13910-106c-development-topic/?p=224877 -
"Compact" means "rewrite the mixfile". You can only do it for mix archives. I believe you have to open the mix archive, then right-click in it and then press "compact", though.

HD Music Pack for Red Alert (Version 2 with Stereo)
Nyerguds replied to Lightning Hunter's topic in Red Alert
Obviously not; we didn't have any tool to make those But it would be rather dumb to install a higher quality audio pack and have that error come back, no? -
Works fine for me... you ARE clicking the "direct download" one, right?
-
Ah.

Ugh, shut up alex. If you don't know, don't bother replying. TaxOwlbear: If I remember correctly, the game has separate files for video and audio, for easy multi-language support. The format is called VP6, and the videos are stored somewhere inside the game's .big archives. The audio files have the extension .snd, the video files .vp6

Um. Obviously. It downloads updates off the internet.
