  1. amokk: It's the same IRC server, though, so you can't log in twice with the same nickname.
  2. Boo! Hiss! Shun the non-believer! (Play C&C1, not RA! :yo:)

Too bad RA doesn't have proper Mobile HQs...
  4. The dark background on that icon looks odd. Couldn't you have started from the same image in the flame tank video? Or doesn't that show the whole tank?
  5. Huh. I just checked. There is an altternative Win trigger, but it's not an "All Destroyed". It's a "Destroyed" one with repeat status 1 (all targets need to be affected for it to trigger), linked to all obelisks on the map, and all the structures in the small Nod base. So if you destroy all SAM sites, you get the helicopter. If you destroy everything else (minus the two hidden buildings), you simply win right away.
  6. Hah! There's no reason for such a win trigger XD I guess they probably just have a standard set they add, and they forgot to remove that one.
  7. Hehe. Interesting mission, that one. I believe the temple and construction yard are both on a little island in the top right corner. (Yup. Just checked. In the corner. I wonder if there's a way to reach it, with that helicopter. Not that it would've helped you, because all your infantry got nuked )
  8. I remember getting that pink flash too when working on my patch and changing the WSA for some experiment. (In the end I dealt with that particular issue I was having the proper way; by making the game load these extra stretch tables)
  9. This may be due to the Windows update that disables Safedisc. It's causing problems for a lot of games... see if uninstalling Windows update KB3086255 helps. The safer and easier way, though, is to just make an Origin account and get the game for free from there. As long as they still give it away . The digital version shouldn't have any issues with the missing SafeDisc, since it doesn't use any discs.
  10. Eh? What? It's supposed to blow up anyway; that's the way the mission should go. Only, if you correctly disabled all known detection systems first, you should get Mission Accomplished after it blows up. Actually capturing shouldn't be possible at all unless you use the iron curtain to prevent it from blowing up as I described; it's just not how the storyline goes! The bug, as far as I know, was just that players got Mission Failed instead of Mission Accomplished despite destroying all the targets before approaching the chronosphere and triggering its destruction.
  11. This usually means a virus scanner is blocking access to the file. Either disable the antivirus, or add an exception in the antivirus so it ignores the file.
  12. Welcome to the C&C Communications Center forum, main forum hub of the CnCNet online play system. Click that link, or the CnCNet logo in the upper left corner of any page here on the forum, to get started As for your black screen issue, there's a graphics system patch called DDWrapper which is known to solve it... however, I'm fairly sure that the CnCNet installer for playing RA2/YR online includes a similar fix (called TS-DDraw), so if you install that it should all work out anyway :engie:
  13. Might be better to just add some kind of exception in that to exclude cncnet.org
  14. The chronosphere mission is plain bugged though. I wonder what happens if you iron curtain the chronosphere though. Would you still lose? I actually captured it like that once. Stalin still raged about it blowing up, though, but really, I totally saved it
  15. What map did you play on? If it was a custom map provided by the host, chances are it's just enabled on the map. Though, on the subject of trainers, if someone wants to find a way to make sure they don't work on cncnet, the first step would obviously be to check if it works in the first place
  16. If that's the Iran I think it is, this might be good news, because it means he's getting back in to researching RA2. [edit] So, it isn't
  17. ...your sarcasm detector is clearly acting like Norton Antivirus. There was no sarcasm there :-\
  18. I love grey goo. I never cared much about multiplayer in general, though
  19. So... remove your mod changes?
  20. This usually means there's a virus scanner blocking the file or something... Disable your antivirus and try again.
  21. Bittah? I released a mod pack that does that ages ago. So, did you people finally separate the movies list from the stuff checked on multiplayer version compatibility then?
  22. Overall... just don't install older games in Program Files. It always gives problems.
  23. You'll all need an Origin account and the game on it, but I don't see why not? You'll need to do that registry edit to make sure the games don't think they all have the same serial though. Origin is quite sloppy when it comes to installing the classics...
  24. Y'know... another way to do this is reconvert original WSA files with your tool, compare the resulting files with the original files, and then figure out what the differences are and why they occur. WSA is lossless, right? Not like VQA. So once the tool can make 1:1 reconversions of the originals, the problems should be fixed... Kilkakon also said apparently XCC crashes on the new WSA files. That's already somewhat suspect; I know XCC can handle the WSAs from German and French DOS C&C, and Mac C&C (it has this odd xor-system for wsas building up on previous WSAs that Dune II also uses), just fine, and Olaf probably didn't have these to test his decoder on, meaning that "XCC can decode it" is a rather decent way to predict if the game will be able to handle them.
