  1. Sorry for doublepost, but I got a quick update coming soon and this is just an announcement. I also got good news and bad news... Good news is, there is of course an update Bad News is I'm still too busy to get some pics but I figured that people who download and play it could always get some screenies Enjoy the mod anyways.
  2. its a very fancy computer So I mostly use it to play old games... (RA, TD etc) In fact due to C&C single core the PC runs c&c 3 with max gfx quality better than RA

  4. FRAPS works fine on TD for me but I haven't managed to find anything (bandicam included) that doesn't lag RA
  5. Warning - I was an idiot with the naming and aftrmath.ini should be called aftermth.ini silly typo really and it should sort a few missing features.
  6. I did sort of attempt to rectify that in some way in my mod, do check it out. However you do have a bit of a point.
  7. no screens as sadly I'm quite busy with real life too exams in two weeks woohoo. still thanks for the feedback, my main thought is feedback about gameplay though, and how it can be improved.
  8. As the topic title suggests..... I have created a new mod, but its still in beta and stuff Basic details: Completely New factions, not Allies, not Soviets, not GDI and not NOD either (ignore radar screens in that sense) Some units and buildings added from Tiberian Dawn, a bit more balanced that RA but with its different shifts. Requires Aftermath active, or a few units might be missing. Gameplay is different, there are 2 replacements for tech centre-like buildings, bio lab and advanced weapons facility (MISS) bio lab unlocks fancy buildings weapons facility unlocks fancy units New/extra weapons: Stealth Tank, MRLS, Flame Tank (still a personal favourite :laugh:), Recon Bike and 2 new 'end-game' units (for sorting those damn stalemates) of immense power - the Chrono Nuke (chrono tank with demo charge) and Stealth Nuke (stealthed Demo truck) Advanced Guard Tower is the other new building, but other things have had graphics changes (tent is now GDI barracks and Medium tank has been changed to TD style) Some spare building entries floating around so some more can be added if I see fit. No airfields (and therefore planes) at this time but may be included later. -Graphics and stuff taken from Red Dawn, so credit goes to Allen262 for that Missions have not been converted. Currently a lot of awkward mix sorting has been going on, and I need to hope for a quick answer from a dev to see if you can literally put EVERYTHING into one mix file and have the game read it... Some sounds are yet to be changed, a couple new units still being worked on so.... uh.... yeah. enjoy. Damn upload limit. over by about 50 kb I need some people to give it a test drive.

I disagree, the double power that the soviet basic unit possesses is something to think about This makes more sense to me but it seems prism tanks are still an uber-powered end-game unit, the soviet apocalypse did alleviate the one-sidedness a bit though Try looking into rules.ini - that's where pretty much everything mentioned here can be done. I don't think this is possible, assuming all spy/thief/engineer logic is hard coded. If you do look into rules.ini do watch for hard-coded aspects (super-weapons, infantry logic and airfield powers, amongst a couple of other things) which cannot be changed.

    I'm sorry for digging up this thread but I'm trying to make a custom scores file with a few red alert tracks, a few TD tracks and some from elsewhere. I was hoping you could help me with the Music.ini file as I cannot seem to find it.

  14. this isnt making any sense I even downloaded a new version and such but still same error. Plus it was working fine before and suddenly its gone completely. EDIT: its working now. the installation was messed up slgihtly by my computer protection and anti-virus n stuff. And the file I was trying to copy is a bit broken anyway.
  15. for some reason whenever I try to extract/copy something from XCC mixer (lets say an icon) the copy is completely the wrong colour and when loaded in RA it doesn't show any icon. Does anyone know why it's doing this?
  16. I am having trouble finding where your Icons for Flame tank, Recon Bike and Stealth Tank are located. I am aware those are the ant replacements but I can't find any ant#icon.shp files anywhere. EDIT: Seems I accidentally deleted them, reinstalling RD solved it.

    Never judge new features over old games. its always the gameplay that counts for me - why TD and RA1 win it for me.
  18. you can download Tiberian Dawn, Red Alert (1) and Tiberian Sun here. Just use the cncnet launcher to play online (most ppl play red alert online) I also suggest you read up on strategies and Tips. And welcome to the forums.
  19. sure. Does this mean I could type Nation = USSR for greece, it would make greece stay blue but they become soviet?
  20. Also in allies 11, the Naval channel blockade is Owned by Turkey.
  21. I played it first time round didn't find any bugs then. It was fairly easy however
  22. Change them all to turkey? That could work as they are used in a few allies missions to represent the soviets (why?)
  23. This was the sort of thing I was going on about when I mentioned 'applying a country to another faction' (i can't find it but I know its out there somewhere)
  24. I was hoping you would continue the mini-campaign after you captured and modified 'the device' (the chronosphere of course) And if you are putting NOD 11b into red alert style, please don't make it any harder than it already is....
