Render map, let it create a thumbnail or resize full preview to to 512px by longest edge, save as jpg/png and convert with xcc mixer to TS map preview, insert into map with notepad by replacing the preview section.

Happens with all ddraw wrappers & emulators since Windows 7/Vista. Disabling DWM (Desktop Window Manager / Screen compositor) on Vista and 7 with DDRAW emulation made those games very responsive.
