  1. So far the progress is great though the updates bring it very close to RA2 once the bugs are fixed, it will be indistinguishable. Any luck with the Psi sensor fixes?
  2. There most certainly is, at least in the original CD version of the game. See this youtube video, on the updated RA2 mode that 'slam' sound that plays after the deploy animation is nearly finished gets muted out/doesn't play. AFAIK the Yuri clones were fine before the update. Here's the default Yuri clone weapon on RA2. [MindControl] Damage=1;Number of mind control links Due to minor game engine differences, the same INI code doesn't result in the same functions. You need to be careful with these. As far as I know, there are not many changes like these so it shouldn't be that difficult to fix em.
  3. @dkeeton Some bugs I found during testing the new update... MCV Deploy sound is not played towards the end of the deploying process. Game crashes at the end of a match (I have score screen disabled). Yuri clones are able to mind control more than 1 unit.
  4. There is a sub forum 'ladder' and hof on the ladder. The lag should be less of an issue now that all servers are back online.

  6. Nicknames should be reserved for a time since first & subsequent logons. Player makes a nickname and logs on. That nickname is reserved/locked to that player for 30 days. Player logs on after 10 days, reservation is renewed to 30 days. The player doesn't log on for 31 days the reservation/lock is released and anyone can reuse. @dkeeton Thoughts on this possible solution? @Grant

  8. Also list ini mods here so people know what to expect. Personally I'd keep them out of multiplayer maps.
  9. @dkeeton Can we separate the user and scenario pool configuration vetos on the software side of things? So that scenario configuration 'vetos' don't affect user allowed vetos, the current setup has confused just about everyone and as mentioned by ZigZag does have its limitations.
  10. I've done plenty of that to all the Yuri wannabe's in QM already.
  11. On RA2 Allied can sell all vehicles on the Service Depot. Soviet can sell only miners occasionally. On YR Can't sell any vehicle on any Service Depot. So I noticed that on RA2 the Soviets can still sell miners on the service depot, but it's glitched. The miner has to be 1 cell away from the centre of the service depot, basically on the edge for the cursor to change into "vehicle sell mode". This only worked for me only on the first miner, with all subsequent attempts the cursor did not change. I doubt that perfect 1:1 fix would be possible so I'd say make it so that the Soviet service depot acts the same way as the Allied one. Also yeah it is a significant change to high-level play as I've had games where selling a few miners or non-essential units gave me enough income to rebuild a refinery that I would otherwise have no funds for.

  14. Correction, it hasn't been in QM for the last 2 months. I had it in. Though I never saw him mention it before or hell just veto it. No way, that should be reserved for some unranked auto-match option. Do we have enough data or evidence from other players to decide which course is the best to take?
  15. I've noticed some bugs on the forums over the last few months. Browser windows freezes when quoting large posts eg: some 3 paragraphs. (need to kill the page/tab) When highlighting/selecting text in a quoted post the text is randomly deselected. (usually happens with mouse select) The above happen both on desktop and mobile. Got an 8 Core 16 Thread CPU + 16GB DDR4 so this is something that I never expected. @Grant
  16. It was a legit answer to your post, while you might find these types of map crap, some other guy might find them amazing. Which means you're going to play if we change the maps, but he's not, we all want an active ladder and with the vetos it's possible to please everyone or in this case have them please themselves.
  17. That only works against people who don't bring their whole Yuri deathball of an army together. AKA Lashers, Gattlings, Magnetrons, MMs, disks, YP, Virus, in a big clusterfuck of the cheesiest unit composition know in RTS to date.

Could have just told me that instead of five posts of "you're going about this wrong", "you're a ra2 player", " you never played yuri"... seriously, was it too difficult to point the map issues instead of personal attacks? I did ask for your & prep's advice and you just ignored that part entirely, continued with your ad-hominems, just like you're getting defensive here for no reason. Also actually, I did play Yuri, I put my foot in the proverbial water and slapped everyone except the top 10, though that was well before anyone knew of someone called 'Jason' in the top 50... Which is probably why you keep saying I never played it. I did get bored fast though, with Yuri's slow ass gameplay and the homosexuality the force field adds to the gameplay. He could do that from the start though, yet clearly, he doesn't care enough to think before typing. The faction per map was probably considered as an option to counter Yuri so players could pick the best faction to vs Yuri, though seems not much thought was given to how much it leaves the system open to abuse. Vetoing maps entirely is not a terrible option as long as the veto count is reasonably low compared to the map pool, if there are 40-50 something maps in QM and you can veto 5-7 that's not going to be easy to abuse, but rather offers people some convenience and improves the enjoyability of the game.
  19. Not what I was pointing out, the fact was with you not telling me what maps you considered 'silly'. So there was no way for me to remedy the problem, similar to how this guy assumes you can read his mind and guess what he finds 'bad'. Instead of practising some common sense & communication all we do is tell each other that we know nothing... After which we have some obnoxious motivation to go and gloat on about our self-imposed feelings of correctness.

How the fuck do you expect us to know what's good in your opinion? Lol, reminds me of your feedback about the map pool... It's so bad bro. ? Let's see how psychic you are.
  21. I don't QM since the drop off in activity, always have to wait. You should check in lobby and PM people, set your client to auto log into the lobby so the pros can pm you when you QM.
