I wouldn't say so. SvS is skillful like the other mirror matches. It's just not as hype as Frank makes it seem.

Free speech is not for everyone. You must have thick skin to brush off trolls and jerks. If you can ignore the fools, free speech is for you.
-
Rats. I'll try and put something else in your mouth next time.
-
Some people like Martin or Kike don't like it since there's free speech there. Which means Andy says mean things to them.

Nah, I wouldn't say that's true. On ra2 I usually avoided the custom tourney games. It was usually on qm only.

Wishlist / feature requests for the next patch(es)

I suggest the map method since the developers are very busy as it is. You'll see your vision come true by the map method way before the client applies it. (If it's accepted at all) Qm? Do you mean for custom games? Because qm already exists. And yes, you can change crate rates by map as well. All the rules.ini can be applied to a map. -

Adjusting multiple maps is made easy with notepad++. Just download this and you can mod all the maps you want. I did it with my ongoing mod. https://forums.cncnet.org/topic/3201-mx-mod-maps/ If you need help, hit up the discord too. https://discord.gg/4Ve25mM -

I don't see how. The issues you're looking at only affect certain play styles. The ToE crate players made their own versions to balance out their meta. A blanket patch is widely disagreed upon. People have different opinions of balance. -

The game balance part you can change yourself. The things you listed could be modded to a map. -
Yuri Rebalance Patch (Community) Changelog
FlyingMustache replied to [CC] RaVaGe's topic in Red Alert 2
Depends on which meta. No-SW, Yuri is op. With SW, he may not be. This is a distinction that needs to be acknowledged whenever people are casting their 2 cents. -
Gun man, whenever that happens make sure to post it on the qm reports on discord. I'll remove those error games.

Yuri Rebalance Patch (Community) Changelog

Yes, I know about the map edits. Though the discussion at hand assumes that the edits haven't been enough. So, why not gather data on said settings? -
Yuri Rebalance Patch (Community) Changelog
FlyingMustache replied to [CC] RaVaGe's topic in Red Alert 2
I don't care about this as an option. But before applying to qm, it should be proven yuri is op on qm settings first. Those who claim he's op on qm settings need to play him this month and reach the top fairly easily. -
I'm aware. But that's why the option is available for those "leets" that enjoy the competitive aspect of the game. Among those people, almost all of them greatly dislike that type of low skill gameplay.

You have to be Allied or Yuri if you guys do this competition. Also, Ivan can totally be compared to seal. It has pros and cons when compared to it. It can kill multiple oils without dying to one. It can create bomb tracks. It has no calling card. It is cheaper by $400. It can more quickly target multiple buildings. It can definitely be compared.

Using statistics is always better than resorting to opinions. Opinions always lead to bias. Your very post here has bias. My mod was created with the non-sw meta in mind. (Hence why many things were changed.) The SW meta is already quite well off. So, to emphasize again, use statistics to discover if Yuri is too powerful or not. Some of the top players don't have issues. Marko and CsOH don't complain about Yuri in qm. I have my own bias, that's why I emphasize statistics. I could just complain that Iraq requires 10iq to dominate. (Which seems that way anecdotally) but anecdotes don't help us. Best bet is to keep playing qm and add more stats to go off of.

Why would his YR experience be void? Just because it doesn't fit your narrative? Because logically, that 100% would corroborate his good gameplay. Matt, if you want to debate me, at least put some thinking into your words.

It's the game though. That's nobody's fault except the designers
