It's what everyone's playing. I can't be helped either. I'm particularly drawn into Appel Wasteland ver 4.0 land rush with 2v2v2v2 setup. Call it my guilty pleasure. The map is simple and plain fun. I also used to enjoy ExtraSmall, but haven't played that one in a while. It seems most people stopped playing that map starting this 2018. Tour of Egypt w/ crates and Sedona FFA, as always, are still played by many, but in terms of attracting most players, Appels Wasteland gamerooms currently dominate the CnCNet lobby, and Rekoool is also up there. What are your thoughts on these maps?

In the middle, I increased the gems and ore posts in proportion to the number of additional players in this version of the facedown. Also each ore spot carries equal amounts. I don't remember exactly; about 30k perhaps. It is very fun and balanced. I hope someone with enough spare time can shape up the hills and, yes, perhaps remove and replace the airports to stay true to the original. Also I need to get the HD minimap coded for the cncnet client. I have trouble convincing people to try it out with the low-reso minimap; it looks like an amateur project from that image.

Isn't the general consensus that Ra3 is a awful game? I played a demo of it and was not impressed. If it comes to CnCnet i'll have to give it another go around.

I've gotten to where I need to drag and drop the .pcx file into the xcc mixer. The Xcc mixer will not accept the file. When I search for the .pcx file under file -> open -> it will not show any .pcx files, only MIX files (*.big; *.dat; *.mix; *.pkg;) I am using XCC mixer 1.47.

I have rendered maps into HD images and deposited them into YR custom maps folder, but the map is still shown in low reso within the cncnet client. Why is this? and how can I fix it?

Yeah the HD map renderer hasn't worked in a while. Hopefully they get this fixed soon.

Hi guys, i'm having trouble using the renderer. I've got version 2.3.0.0. I've tried with so many maps but all fail. Here is the log I get: "[Info] Parsing snow.ini [Info] Parsing snowmd.ini [Info] Parsing snowmd.ini [Debug] Engine type detected as YurisRevenge [Info] Engine autodetect result: YurisRevenge [Info] Initializing filesystem for the YurisRevenge engine [Fatal] Rules or art config file could not be loaded! You cannot render a YR/FS map without the expansion installed [Fatal] Ini files couldn't be loaded [Error] Could not successfully load this map. Try specifying the engine type manually. Rules loading failed. Please make sure the mix directory is correct and that the required expansion packs are installed if they are required for the map you want to render. It appears an error ocurred during image rendering." I also can't send bug reports.

My wishlist for CnCNet's next update: Ai levels - Easy Ai - Medium Ai - Brutal Ai - Relentless Ai - XXxPrepxX Ai Could you imagine an Ai rushing dreadnought to your base? Would be killer for maps like office B. Try Ron on Bay of Pigs sometime. Then copy his naval style and paste onto new Ai settings. Maybe vote who is best navy player in the community then have him volunteer to show us how to code our bots for future use.

This^ You can get an incredible build speed but it takes an incredible amount of structures built. I've tested massing mcvs during survival maps. I don't remember exactly, but I think it's about 50 mcvs and you'll pretty much have zero wait time; Just click and place. (It's funny playing in a 10fps survival with others and being the only one placing grand cannons as if game is running at 1000fps on my end.) With warfactories multiple units will eventually start coming out of separate buildings all at once. So you can have 2 or 3 rhinos being made at a time. Same for barrack and ground units.

Btw, I myself am multilingual. Edit: I apologize. Just reread my post and it's not so obvious I was joking. I was trying to do a mockery of fox news personalities by somehow tying in laggers as moochers and "Us" 4k/8k guys as the hard working class somehow against "them" low reso, low equipment, evil unionizers. The tongue in cheek giveaway was the subtle Trump wall reference at the bottom. Siggh...If my delivery could only come off as a daily show correspondents' then I'd be half satisfied. And no I don't always speak this way. I guess I'm still caught up in the fever of a great political science course from college. If they only had jokes 101 to enroll in. -

Sigh...catering to the lowest common denominator. So many laggers on CnCNet already forcing us quality pings to stoop down to their low FPS. Now we should be expected to play with their worse reso too? If I worked and busted ass for google fiber internet and for 4k/8k screen reso why then should I be prevented to enjoy the fruit of my labors? Because some inconsiderate Peruvian noob with a potatoe decides to join my gameroom? I say not. Edit: I will build for CnCNet a firewall preventing all noobs with lagging low-end equipment from joining and have these lagging low-end equipment noobs pay for it. -

How to fix a custom map from giving us a recon error

Hi Grant. I remade entire map and seems to work fine now. I just can't get any of my custom maps to generate the minimap in High Reso like the client used to do. -
I made an urban terrain naval 8p version of Sedona Pass, and unfortunately this map never fails to give a recon error; at times initially and at times a few minutes into the game. I made another custom 8p Sedona Pass keeping the desert terrain, and this one runs recon error free. Can the switch to urban terrain be causing the recon errors on this map? I also added a few extra buildings and islands so perhaps the placement of these are the culprits? I made this map using Final Alert 2. I really would love for this map to work.
