Random freezes, unable to download maps

Im currently experiencing two major problems. These issues occurred out of nowhere. Basically my client will just freeze while im using it, it will restore back to normal in about 1 to 2 minutes... But thats horrible being that Ill get dropped from a game lobby because people will think im afk. The other issue is if someone is hosting a game mode with a map that requires download, it will say unable to download. What do I need to do to fix this?
