Cancelling constructions/ units

Hi. 

Is there any way to cancel a built construction or a unit in progress from the build icons on the right of the screen?

 

I effectively froze a game the other night by accidentally building a power turbine when I had no power station. All other controls were idol and all I could do was abort the game!

I can’t find any keyboard shortcuts for this online and can’t remember from playing as a kid if it’s even possible. 

I’m using a Mac but all other shortcuts are the same as windows.

Right-click on the icon should cancel it, did you try that?

Yeah that didn’t work! I’m using a Mac so maybe it’s different?
