Ladder Map Pool Changes - extension?

So did everyone who plays the ladder get to vote? 

 

how many who voted for vet maps actually play the ladder?

 

how long was the last topic/vote open for? 

 

how many people who play the ladder knew of this?

 

p.s. its been a little more fun this month with more people taking part and having the exposure on the game list for ranked match... best idea yet.

theyre unwilling to fix unit behavior bugs but are perfectly fine with bastardizing all of the official maps. im glad the game is already dead regardless of the 50 players still on it. all they did was make giant tiberium blobs all over the maps or add train tracks surrounding unkillable weed fields. they are really dumb.

It got 25 votes including almost everyone in the top 10.

When we talked, the only map you wanted was a wildcard map that could be any WW map. If you'd like to list 4 other maps here I could incorporate them.

well theres only 8 different people in the top ten, so almost all of them is probably 6 or 7... then the rest who voted dont actually play the ranked? 

seems fair to me.

 

nah i knew what will be will be with the powers that be and all that, just think its putting more people off it than onto it with such rare maps... tbf i dont want any of the bs vet maps but if there are some who do then fine put some in but the lack of original stuff is killing it a bit for me and others who simply prefer the originals.  Its nice to see some originals in the list but still lacking considering the choice there used to be... without all this seeming control i dont know why we cant just have all the maps... a random ww map is the closest thing to getting choice of all original...

are you people drunk or just noobs? why would you put terrace BL vs BR in it and on top of that a VET and non vet version? its just plain stupid. So people can waste their  "reject" those since they clearly in favor of BL.

 

Since we are at it, can you fix Caseys Canyon, what a SHIT map. You click units and they dont respond or go where you tell them to go. I made a buggy and it just sits in base....

BL vs BR has far less advantage given to BL than the standard cross-spawns....regardless of the distance between BR/BL, BR has more main tiberium than any other spot, has the fastest expansion to both it's first exp and the middle, and is more guarded via the cliff. Are you really complaining about balance on terrace when BR vs BL/TR vs TL are the most "fair" ways to play it. As much as I appreciate the challenge of playing from any disadvantaged position on terrace, this is an asinine argument, when everyone has known since TS's inception that this is not a balanced map.

It doesn't matter how much TIB is available in BL vs BR. The fact is, you have blue TIB in BL, so you will have the power /cash to be much more aggressive offensive wise, or expanding wise. Blue TIB just give more benefits.  It is really stupid to have a BL vs BR fight on terrace, where it sould be cross fights. 

I think BR vs TL is fair, as TL has more cover if un-scouted, where BR is more exposed but has easier to expand. That said, it would be cross fights and not straight lines.

Besides that, take 2 good players, the  BL will crush the  BR player.

BL vs BR is still more fair than cross positions. TL vs BR is highly unbalanced as soon as TL attempts to expand to LM, the distance from TL to even it's first expansion outside the cliff is massive in comparison, and going from LM to the middle is again a much further distance. Horizontal spawns are THE most fair way to play terr and a welcome change to how 1v1 is done on the map for ladder.

Well i disagree. But if want to 1v1 where i got BL and you got BR, ill win 10/10.

Westwood did not attend for a side-by side on 1v1, that's why you always start cross.

That said, i rejected that map with those positions. I doubt any good players will play those positions, so if you do, you'll only face lesser skilled players.

Humble we need 1-2 more rejects in the pile of maps, and the firestorm maps should have "firestorm settings" disabled since we are playing TS.

All the vet maps also have all the cliff glitches and other stuff fixed.  Any non vet maps I can't speak for and don't care about.  For 100$ an hour and a life-time supply of Chipotle ill fix the other verisons NP EZ.

 

@dkeeton, once u upload the updated art file, the firestorm maps will have the blue crystal trees without firestorm enabled, I think that would be the best solution since the Firestorm settings are pretty rough compared to original.  No inf for selling buildings makes inf rushes even more OP, and disruptors are extra fast, etc.

Can we make it to where people can't have more than x number of names on the ladder per month? That way people can't be trying to snipe points off others using smurf logs, instead of having to risk their logs with high numbers of points.

 

 

Also, we need to relabel these airfix maps, because i just died thinking it was TL VS BR, when in fact it was BL vs BR. These names have to be redone...

Sorry for not hold back progress/improvement for the sake of a single opinion. 

Quit hating on the forest fires remake. It’s superior in every aspect. 

It would be better to have 100 new players that can play a game that makes sense than keeping the 2 or 3 salty vets that hate everything for no logical reason.

 

PS. None of this shit matters because nobody is going to play ladder next month. Nobody would have even played this month if I didn’t stir up commotion in the first week.

might be good idea to get automatic log in enabled for ranked matches so as soon as you come online the box will appear and you just click search for match then leave it in the background, then its just a case of declining any matches that popup? is that possible?
