  4. I've looked into that, but writing subtitles over the video play seems horribly complicated... especially with each scene having its own colour palette. I actually designed an ini format for this once in case I could implement it, and it also required a palette index to use for the colour. I should ask iran how fonts actually use colours, though...
  5. I think that may be due to FunkyFresh experimenting with a bot that reads all messages in the channel and mirrors them on the IRC chat...

  12. SiberianGRemlin has one, but he never publicly released it. I got hold of a fully working beta, through some other people, but I'm hesitant to distribute it without permission. As for copying the DOS fonts, as he said, they're tiny. Too small to be used in C&C95, since they got the same size on the 320x200 screen in DOS C&C as the C&C95 fonts got in 640x400, meaning they're only half the size of the C&C95 ones. I could remake them, I guess, but it'd take ages...

  15. Woohoo! People DO still make pretty maps ...I guess it's mostly RA suffering from the Crappy Mappy Syndrome though. Too much custom scripting, not enough effort in making the map nice.

  18. P2P mode has no relation whatsoever with the game's user interface. Try disabling cnc-ddraw.
  19. As I said, I pasted it together from other clips. As in, just the word "Stealth" is made out of clips from at least 4 other voices. I don't remember which ones that were. May still be on my PC, but I'm at work right now, so I can't check. So yeah, There's simply no way to get it better. I don't just happen to have a Kia Huntzinger locked in my basement, you know

  23. Well, I finally got testing on this again! There were still a few errors... the Desert icons weren't in the Desert palette, and the speecita.mix crashed the game because it was created in TS mix format instead of TD format. All of that is fixed now, and I generated a new conquer.ita from the ini version of the strings file, and included the Portuguese fonts. The final result is attached. I could make an installer out of this, if you translate the installer messages: WelcomeLabel1=Welcome to the C&C95 Italian Language Pack Setup Wizard! WelcomeLabel2=This program will install the Italian language pack on your C&C.   24. In these old games, there's very little that isn't hardcoded. All superweapons in C&C games are hardcoded as far as I know, at least up to RA2.
