  1. Hi Gifts, You know, I have a catalog here at cnc-comm. I make a small adaptation in the Basic section to enlist it in a standard way for all files, so your missions would look like this: Action=x Brief=x Buildlevel=97 Carryovermoney=0 Intro=x Lose=x Percent=100 Player=badguy Theme=AIRSTRIK Win=x Name=080 - Nod After War: M1 Author=Gifts If you want to give names for each mission it will become something like this Name=080 - Nod After War: M5 - Final Author=Gifts If you wanna change anything, let me know. I also created a TXT file called afterwar.txt, that will be together with the mix file, taking the info in your first post, see attached. You might edit that either. Search for other campaigns in the catalog to see what you can edit in general, if interested. Afterwar.zip
  2. Oh I forgot, you have to rename the file, so: - drop in the C&C95 folder; - rename it to "gifts.mix"; - "enable MOD" in game options tab of CCConfig and, of course, choose "gifts.mix". This time I tested, you can find it in the menu and start the game. /edit don't get pissed off, but the mini-campaign appears in the Nod list and only the first one,as Gifts has pointed out ...
  3. There is another option: - drop SC-GSAB.MIX in the official folder ; - open ccconfig and "lie" to the game SC-GSAB.MIX is a mod. The game will prioritize the files, not having to delete or move anything. Btw, I haven't try this solution, ehehehehheeh
  4. I'm finishing a map here. If I do it in time, I'll be on it for the fun. If not, it will be available in the proper section. I'll certainly use some color schemes, but that won't be the primary feature.

  8. Hi, Thanks for the feedback. I'm here to give support, whenever I can. The missions were numbered for many reasons, including traceability. Just give me the code and I'll take a look. This one and any other - I have a permanent TO DO list, so don't worry. If you think you'd be revealing too much of a mission, you can complement with a personal message. Also, I ask to play some of the recent missions in this same forum of our colleagues here. We are always wanting some feedbacks and available for discussions. Have a nice stay!

  10. Taking advantage of the mistakes I did in my collection, I would use INI and BIN* files only, avoiding ZIPs and MIX files. Or, leaving a large ZIP file as a stand alone file that are not updated in the short term and is used for "market-flaging" Also use a github or a SVN solution, instead of a cloud program like Dropbox. The main advantage of a SVN folder is to know how many backups you can count with, so the project lists who are connected to the folder. Im my situation, my SVN folder has not been used, since the other sources are well known, so I couldn't so far migrate from one instance to another yet. * - if RA uses only those, like TD.
  11. Ok, I accessed the translations, thanks. I'll read it tonight (here). I know for sure I'll keep the original names - Waffenklau and Operation England - the way it is. And the missions will have/keep both briefings, once the current patch supports it now.

Hi Prometheus, As Iran has pointed out, a lot of stuff was fixed in many single player missions and are still being fixed, the project looks like permanent so far: - more than a hundred missions still haven't been re-released yet; - Some missions were edited to add mission coding to complete them (95%) or to make it more fun or difficult (5%) (see example here); - To worth the effort depends on the person. For me, it's been a pleasure and I got something to do that the most skilled wouldn't do it because they are busy with more important things, TD related + real life issues; - Nevertheless, I get help from them very often; - The Weak missions are divided in 2 groups: bad maps and good maps. Bad maps were made in the heat of TD era, the mapmakers were almost players only, just wanting to throw a lot of guns in-game. The Good maps were done by players that wanted to make a surprise to friends or such, they have done good maps, but the mission coding ended up poor or incomplete, which nowadays are far more easier to handle. 2 years ago I've found a site with a bunch of missions, but the google translator wasn't available at that time, when I got back there again, it was all lost. The only lost so far within my reaches. So if you have THE chance to go after TD stuff, bring it here before it vanishes. If there's one good mission in there, it already pays the effort. : ]
  17. Hi, I'm thinking of creating an Excel file to aid map making in Tiberian Dawn. After you enter some parameters it outputs the OVERLAY section filled with Tiberium in some random organic display. It would be started around mid December, 2013 (or January). Before I go on doing this, I want to ask if anyone wanna take over, because I'm not an IT guy so I'll have to rely on my bad habits. This is what was thought so far: Origin = top left point of the tibeirum field Area = a rectangled area corresponding to the cells map address where the Tiberium will be layed Tree = up to 5 cell address for SPLITS Distribution = a dropdown list to choose how the tiberium is spread(star, Y-shape, X-shape, L-shape, elipse, etc) Orientation = V or H Inversion = inverts the output if needed Potential = can be scarce,medium or abundant or can be a number corresponding to an average Rifling = failed effect of the tiberium growth in certain portions (only in the begining of the mission) Polishment = how the tiberium is presented nearby objects like rivers and rocks Secondary Area = an amplified area to deploy traces of Tiberium, if desired (2%) Another way or in paralel to construct this is to input the full potential of a smaller area and the output states the size of the area. That would serve for Multi player maps. I'm thinking of doing this because around 100 single player OLD maps (estimate info) are poor in this matter, so if the rest of the map or the mission itself is lame, I pretend to change the tiberian fields. Any comments, be welcome.
  18. Hi guys, Let's put our minds to work or to say BS. I was reading this calendar and I noted there is no RTS game conference which is a heresy. Or, if you prefer a more broad context - a strategic games conference. I think we could discuss this for the sake of creativity - where, how long, what subsections, sponsor, etc. Write down a wish list (before EA or Activision do that), maybe with luck becomes a petition. What would be a good RTS/strategy gaming environment to find everything about it? Also, if you have been to one of those or some alike, you can tell us the experience, if you considered it interesting.

Hi, The next 4 Nod campaigns planned for release involve 26 missions: Amazon Assault(6) WaffenKlau(7) Operation England(4) Assault Campaign(5) D Day(4) The briefings of "Waffenklau" and "Operation England" are in German language, so some assistance for translation is needed. The INDEX file is not updated, I'll do that soon. I'll be available in the next days for those that will have a try and might need some support.   22. Weird as it is, I only play (so I'm only interested in) Tiberian Dawn regarding C&C franchise. Still, this collection is unfinished, thus I can't get more commitments.

  24. I think I got a bit what is going on. For certain things in China, they have an autotranslator for things coming in and out, the same way they have a national firewall, like the one blocking Google. I'm part of a Chinese community and when I read their threads it's impossible to understand what is written, paradoxically, despite and because of the translator. If I try to send them a message in English claiming that I'm not understanding them, the auto-translator blocks me again by translating everything to their language, to the point that I'm not sure what is written. So if they look like confusing to us, we are also confusing to them, if we try to make contact through that channel. Essentially, I'm guessing, but makes some sense.
