The Arda foundation changing code was not complete. It had clipping/bleed though the shroud. -

The Apache/Orca but is know in Red Dawn as well but why your AI is building Orca's I have no idea. In Red Dawn [HELI]=Orca and [HIND]=Apache and it did build Orca for Nod but you swiched things to [HELI]=Apache and [HIND]=Orca and they still like to built Orca's? Vary odd. Try adding a Prerequisite to both. Set the Prerequisite to HPAD,BARR for the Orca and Prerequisite HPAD,TENT for the Apache. -
Yes the original Cammand & Conquer (C&C/C&C95/C&C Gold) dosen't have skirmish. It was wrote after C&C95's release and ported into RA1. You can see a note of this in the rules.ini if you look at the ; ******* AI Controls ******* It is also not vary mod-able as it has no Rules.ini to edit units or buildings.

You should be able to add them to your AV's exemption list. It is also likely the are quarantined. Pause your AV and restore them. Than added them to the exemption list. Once restored and added to the exemption list resume your AV.

Red Dawn is quite close to C&C95 but not 100% and I haven't remade all of the mission from it as well. The Classic Mission are quite close but not everything is the same. Only a few of the Classic Mission have brefing videos. Only videos that I could use for the edits of the RA1 mission were converted to RA1. The USB speed may be too slow. I tried to run RA1 from a USB external HDD via USB 2.0 and it was slow.

Wow that version is out of date. You should grab. http://iran.cnc-comm.com/ra/ At min you can get the download Videos Installer from CnC-Comm (580 MB, includes The Lost Files videos). This shoud fix your missing videos.

The first time I played RA1 it was the PS1 Allied Retaliation disk. It dose take some geting use to to on PC but PC is the better version. If your using PortableRA you should be able to change to DOS/PS1 icons. Counterstrike and Aftermath expansions where combinded for the PS1 Retaliation. The only upside to PS1 Retaliation disk (out side of the cheat codes) was the brefing videos that were done for them but they have been converted to PC too.

Yes. RA2 need some registry keys and if you don't have on your PC they go boom.

C&C Net 5 dose not use mplayer.ini.

On the subject of Pavement, Subterranean units and ground deformation. They all seem to be added in a rush for gimmicks....

In RA1 you can make Infantry spawn from a building. Put the Spawn waypoint one square above the dirt bib of the building. Than in the teamtype make sure you listed that waypoint in the WayPoint: box.

I alway found the Hover MLRS vary under ranged. Seem like WestWood knew this and added the Jug insted of fixing the MLRS in FS.

You can use a buildup from any building as a place holder and it will be sellable. -

Tib Sun was some time ago for me but I can cover a few things. A 3rd side is a pain in the rear end. Start with http://www.ppmsite.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=28461 The dropship bay building it self was to use a reinforce super weapon that never made it in the game. The dropship bay bay screen set up is coded but the mouse pointer did not load. I think Hyper may have fixed this but even so it only would work for single player missions. The light tower logic is set on each light tower in maps settings and can't be made to work as a player buildable building right. The best is a work around http://www.ppmsite.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=31873 A clone of the component tower can't really be done as it has a bunch of harcoded logic that can be add to the clone. For a Building to be sellable it must have a buildup. If it dose not have a build up is will be unsellable no mater if you put Sellable=yes on the building in the rules.ini The cameos them self are put into a .mix file after they are converted to .shp TS format. Cameos them self are added to a unit or building in the Art.ini. The Art.ini will also have other thing you will need to do/edit for units and building. -
Saddly Arda is limited to the stock V3.03 (or is that V2.00) If I used Arda I would lose the color changing logic that give Nod the Red and Gray look. I would be unable to use the Desert Winter terrain from C&C95 and the new Jungle. No CnCNet 5 for online games and host of other small things. I know the silo is small and some of it had to be cut off. The Hand of Nod, Weapons Factry and Adv Guard Tower had to be cut to fix or you would see a clipping/bleeding through the black shroud. If you go back in this thread I know that I posted a screen shot (Hopefully it is still there!). This is one of many limitations. Arda dose have editable Foundation but I was told that the draw logic was not updated so any building you made larger would have a clipping/bleeding through the black shroud prob. I asked Iran about the addding Factories when he was messing around with with adding new units and building but that was somthing he had vary little understanding of how it was done. Iran is the one that has added many of the thing that Red Dawn uses like the Color changing logic, codding so that the new terrain could be added. The Comm Center's and Adv Comm Center's circling antenna where quite low on the list of thing I cared about so I never asked Iran about them. Maybe the Adv Comm Center could be done as it is really the Soviet Airfield and in RA1 it dose have have 16 frames (8 norm and 8 damage) but it was disable by Westwood so it animation logic may be hiding with in the game. The C&C95 Gunboat logic is like wiped from the game as well as the (Hover) Tranport logic. I may be able to change in-game options from blue to gray but this may only work for the background. So none of the text or buttons would be changed. Iran also has edited RAED so that it can load and save the new terrain. I wouldn't place any bets on RAED to be updated. I belive Iran said it was wrote in pascal coding. As for the future. Not too much unless there is a major update to the RA95.exe it self. I do have 5 Classic C&C mission a update of RAED and Funky's update of WinEd. I'm thinking it will be a optional patch. Over all I know it is not perfect but part of me dosn't want it to be. Nyerguds put a ton of work into geting C&C95 working and much more as well being a bunch of help to me along the way. I don't want to take away from this work on C&C95 so I'm quite fine with not coping C&C95 100%
