  1. For Red Alert 2 it would be an advantage since it's mostly installed in the program files folder and it could allow playing without admin rights maybe. For the other games it's pretty bad though cause cncnet makes the folders portable, they're all meant to run off a usb-stick perfectly fine (including having all your settings and maps on the usb-stick too)
  2. You can see how many units were built at the score screen after the game. Not sure how that's related to anti cheat though. If you think players are cheating cause they have a lot more units than you, then no, they don't cheat. They're just better than you A lot new players think that though, you need to know that build speed gets faster with more production facilities. For max speed they usually go for: 10 Construction yards 7 war factories If you like to learn how to do that, check the live stream from lauta https://www.twitch.tv/lausabrosero
  3. No, that's a different site. But it's a legit site, we know these guys CnCNet is all based on 3.03, we added a lot new features like pre-set alliances with humans or ai players, optional high resolution patch, crash fixes and much more. With 2.0 we have very little to do, can't really help you with it... Our full game installer can be found here in case you didn't know: https://forums.cncnet.org/index.php?topic=1918.0
  4. Where do we have the counterstrike + aftermath isos? It's bigger than 40mb for sure. Latest official version released by westwood is 2.0, you'll get that version when you install aftermath. 3.03 is the very latest they made, but it was never released. Was only a beta version they gave to testers
  5. What is your resolution?
  6. So you have the game, but it doesn't work? You can try DxWnd, it might make it working. Extract the files into your game folder: https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=0B5by5H1Q2PxEelRrcFkwanZCZmM If it still doesn't work then tell us some more details about your problem, do you get a black screen? Game crash?
  7. This crash is clearly caused by the high resolution patch. Seems to be code related to the main menu, which is wierd... Does this happen on gamestart only i guess? I mean, it doesn't happen randomly while playing, right?
  8. I think it might delete it once you start a new game, so make sure you copy it out next time you crash before you play another game
  9. Could you upload the log file so we can have a look into it? Right click the cncnet.app, view application content (not sure about the name, you'll find) Go to drive_c, Games/CnCNet/TiberianSun_Online the file name is "except.txt"

    BANNED!!!

Yeah, the bot didn't remove your ban cause it was disconnected for a moment i removed it now manually
  11. Having a single player button is a good idea though. I mean, why would you have multiple shortcuts on your desktop for the same game when you can have all functionality available with just one?
  12. CnCNet Client Bug fix for hosting 6 player games in dune 2000 and tiberian dawn A workaround for chinese players was added, it should be possible for them to play in all games without VPN now
  13. Tiberian Sun has encountered a problem and cannot continue Please upload the except.txt file from the person that received this messages so we can look what happened, you can find it in the game folder A box comes up saying 'Reconnection Error' That happens sometimes, no fix available for it. AI players and lag seem to raise the chance for this to happen One persons game just freezes and they can see everything moving but can't click/ do anything (minimising doesn't work) That sounds like he went into the options menu in-game but the menu is invisble. Try a different renderer in TS-Config or don't go into the options menu
  14. No, there is no option for that
  15. CnCNet Client Minor visual updates The server list is not showing all servers anymore since the client will use multiple servers inside of 1 game now automatically. Servers are chosen by connection speed (Chinese servers are a exception, multi server games are not working well for chinese) Removed country flags from game rooms (except chinese server games) Dropped support for old tunnel servers, the client will only use the new tunnels from now on (except chinese servers) Added more empty space between the lines to make it look cleaner Note: If you are running a CnCNet server, please update it to the latest version. All info can be found here: https://forums.cncnet.org/index.php?topic=7211.0
  16. Enable DxWnd + GDI Mode + Run in window (dune 2000 config) Use monitor capture in OBS That's how works for me on win10
  17. Docker There is now a Docker version you can host on your server. Instructions can be found in the GitHub README. There is also a dot net 8 core version of the tunnel for docker which you can host on your sever. Instructions can be found in the GitHub README. Running CnCNet server using systemd (Linux x64) wget downloads.cncnet.org/tunnel.sh sh tunnel.sh 200 "Unnamed Server" If you're unsure what linux distro to choose, just take the latest version of Ubuntu Using the above method you can run both CnCNet servers as a service and they will continue to run even after the server restarted. Alternatively you can also run the servers individually (see below): New Server (All Games) Linux x64 example: wget -c https://downloads.cncnet.org/cncnet-server.tgz -O - | tar -xz nohup ./cncnet-server --name "My cool server" --maxclients 200 --port 50001 --portv2 50000 > cncnet-server.log 2>&1 & Linux ARM Windows: On XP, Vista and 7 make sure .NET 4.0 is installed: https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=17113 Download the server and start it: http://downloads.cncnet.org/cncnet-server-gui.exe Note: Servers are chosen automatically by CnCNet and are only used in case 2 players fail to establish a Peer-To-Peer connection. Yuri's Revenge players can select a specific server via the advanced settings while hosting a game room. Old Server (Yuri's Revenge only) Linux (Ubuntu) example: sudo apt-get install default-jre wget http://downloads.cncnet.org/cncnet-tunnel.exe nohup java -jar cncnet-tunnel.exe -name "My cool server" -maxclients 200 -port 50000 -headless > cncnet-tunnel.log 2>&1 & Windows: Download the server and start it: http://downloads.cncnet.org/cncnet-tunnel.exe Note: To use a specific server you'll have to select it via the advanced settings while hosting a game room. The servers will not show up instantly on the website, it can take up to 4 hours
  18. Just get it here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=17718 .NET has to be installed manually, the updater never took care of such things! Only windows 8 and 10 can actually install it automatically (on demand)
  19. try DxWnd https://sourceforge.net/projects/dxwnd/ Maybe it works with the default settings, if not, then try to tweak them a bit or ask in the forums if you can't figure it out
  20. That's strange... Did you try to disable anti-virus / firewall?
  21. Yes, the fact they don't repair is known for a long time. No one looked into it yet though There were a few forced gameplay changes that were added long time ago (before cncnet 5), these have been finally reverted. (Only skirmish had these changes) You can enable them again via rules.ini
  22. So no Campaign fixes? I wanted to play the campaign and so I pasted the DwWnd dll into the game folder to fix the black screen. And it works. Kinda Every 10 seconds or so (I think, I didn't count) the game will freeze and stays that way until I alt-tab out and then back in. So it's still pretty much impossible to play. Anyway to fix this maybe? does that also happen when window mode is enabled in the dxwnd.ini ?
  23. Did you try scrolling with the right mouse button? You can switch the renderer to "Default" in the config program, it should make it a bit slower. If it's still to fast, try to disable the "Graphics Patch" too. You can also play around with the other rendering settings, dxwnd and ie-ddraw could work fine too
  24. open the file spawn.xdp in notepad and modify this one for cncnet (instead of rules.ini) Some changes in maps can give one player an advantage, like a pre-placed building for him (while all other players don't get a free building). Make sure you keep the map even so that no player has an advantage. Click on the cheats button in the game room to see which changes caused the cheat warning. You can also post the map here in the forums so that someone can verify it, we can then add it to the whitelist and disable the warning
