  1. I Stopped when I got presented by the Schröndiger equation. I will get back to that, eventually. What!? Why?! That is one of the coolest equations out there. Although, I am good in math, that one too has suffocated me in progressing in understanding quantum mechanics fundamentally math based. But understanding what the formula's mean, can be told to children. And then you realise it is one of the coolest things out there. I won't bother others here with the talk though.
  2. Well, I had one, tiny weeny, itsy bitchy,.. idea. I like to screw with players minds. So the following mission should take place: The (NOD) player starts with 10 commando's on the right of a village. Going left, they meet several MRLS. Going right shows a path. The path leads them to some infantry guarding some power plants in a canyon. A trigger calls in 2 chinooks, both get shot down by the Advanced Guard towers that are standing on the edges. If the player continieus to follow the path. From the right, some more MRLS come down, while the other MRLS come from that village. So the only option: Kill the infantry, then the power plants. Now, the several Advanced Guard towers are powered down. And the MRLS are on their way!! 2 more chinooks come down. This time to pick up the commando's. While flying to the next zone (green flare), the AI rebuilds the power plants. There might be a chance that the chinooks are shot down now. Or they survive barely. The commando's exit the chinooks on the new site. Only to be squashed by a lot of APC's. If a player decides to land down close to the Adv.Guard towers, well, there are several normal guard towers giving cover to the advanced ones. Players will completely not know what to do here. These commando's are supposed to be doomed!!! No matter how hard the player tries. On a side note, the player also has an MCV somewhere else, that becomes visible once it moves. Since the player starts with 0. He/she has to move the MCV towards, another Conyard placed by GDI. Deploy the MCV and sell. There should come out an engineer for taking out the other Conyard. And the player now has barely enough for the Refinery. What do you think? (If I would have time and the knowledge, I would make this mission myself)

  4. Nice going guys! Glad to see, you made so much progress. I spot a double tech centre. Isn't that worse than a double radar dome?
  5. This actually sounds like an awesome idea. But, why didn't you just add? Why is it replace? Simply because the game won't let you? Once you start to replace the Covert OPS. The original did some forced GDI vs GDI in mission 8. Can you do something alike with NOD vs NOD? And a special trigger that once the player has Obelisk of light. The AI spams "sufficient" buggies. Another mission idea would be having just 1 stealth tank. A lot of towers and patrolling infantry. Your goal is to steal a crate and getting out.

    Same trick can be done with ground vehicles. Wall in your war factory (airfield doesn't work), and after having build 4. The 5th and etc. overlap the 4th. (Only C&C though) However, since they share the same cell, they all receive damage at the same time.
  7. 3 more weeks, then I become 32. I play with toxic waste for a living for 8 years now. You need to be a chemist for that. It pays good. But I really want a career change though. All other chemistry jobs in the neighbourhood suck.
  8. I learned that in single player missions. In fact, the very instant when you got 2 of them versus the 2 stealth tanks. Simply cross firing made them go poef! Heck, in Dune2 this trick was possible with the sonic tank, but then in a form of doing as much damage as possible. Simply try to hit as much fields as possible where the structure is standing on. And yes, other games have this trick as well: fireball by mage in WC2. No need to be ashamed if you didn't succeed yet. However, DO NOT TRY THIS ON THE CONYARD. Then you fail obviously.

  11. I too always likes these kind of RTS. One where you actually can upgrade a specific statistic of your unit. However, this is mostly done in board games. And in most cases, the upgrade already takes place in the field. Your best chance of selective upgrades would be Warcraft 3 and some modmaps in Starcaft 2.
  12. Great to see you back. I loved your work. About the updating thing. Having one central site where you upload the pictures. Having one folder with links to all websites. Where you immediately open the fan sites current topics where you normally post these things. Simply open them all, and copy paste the link to the picture to each topic of yours. Most forums have the same layout. So if you want the link to work. Use the same line to copy. I don't know how many sites you normally visit. But I think, not many people will visit the same site on a regular basis just for your work. You need to inform them about new post on a regular basis.
  13. Cranes do not add to building defences. Although, they could have had more durability and costs if you ask me. 1500 instead of 3500 is just way to cheap for a fast start. Ehm... I still base walk towards what is supposed to be my first expand. While I get a conveyor to my what is supposed to be my second expand. I also go 2 factories plus radar, this is often enough base walking. I think we all agree that TW is the easiest of the series. In TD, base walking is hardest too. And the MCV is 5000. Way to much for something that dies so fast.
  14. At least get your hands on C&C3. It has for me the same atmosphere as TD AND TS in certain area's. And you have much more micro abilities.
  15. The efficiency in TS is bugged. (In EBfD as well). You can tell by that it doesn't show any logic, like how you described it. But why even bother? Just look at the time and the number of losses. That is your true score.
  16. It is actually funny how I beat that map. I simply wiped out every thing, except that cabal robot thing. Then amassed those elites that you can build this mission for the first time. I thought, you need these for that robot. So I took out the 2 obelisks and tha robot starts firing tha lazur. Any way, turns out the elites are only durable . So while they where busy dying, which took ages though. I simply mass bombed that robot with any air unit available.

  18. Ok, these 2 things are the same: In TD, we have a light tank of 600 and medium tank of 800. 1 Medium tank can kill 2 light tanks if they approach 1 by 1. In C&C 3, we have a scorpion tank of 800 and a predator tank of 1100. 1 Predator tank can kill 2 scorpion tanks if they approach 1 by 1. Now, when it comes to mass battle's. GDI has it easier in TD and NOD has it harder in TD. Why? The size of the units is 1, always 1. No matter how strong they are, it is one. In C&C 3, the predator tanks have size 11, while the scorpion tanks have size 8. (Perhaps someone can provide with exact numbers) With a size of exact 1, it means that the stronger tanks get that approaching bonus. Thus the medium tank keeps the bonus (in amass, not just 1 v 2) while the predator tank has not. So, if TD was the hardest in the series? Well, regarding NOD, it is!!! Regarding GDI, well, with those artillery in TS, I say TS. That is, until fire storm was added for the juggernaughts. So, obviously GDI is canon in TD. Perhaps NOD should have been the canon winner in TS, what do you guys think?

    No, I mean that if someone plays a normal game at normal speed. They speed up the video instead. Gives them time to do it good. Yet those who watch the video see a fast version and wont get bored at some parts.

    It is indeed easier with GDI than NOD. I once managed on GDI 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13 and 14. I still need to try on GDI 2, 5, 7, 12 and 15. For NOD, it is just 1

  24. Well, that cash feature could have been tweaked. Perhaps some rewards divided over other missions? Not just with cash, but also units?
  25. For those who want to feel the C&C from TD in a sequel. I advice to play C&C3. The cash over bug was 20%? So if you safe up 100k in one mission, you get 20k in another. It helped me through GDI 8, but also NOD 9(the one with the commando?) Although, these days I can beat those missions without the cash help. TS was extremely hard for me. The reason? It is such a slow game. And almost no strategy. Just wall'o'defence and titan/tick rush.
