  1. Don't think so: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newtonian_dynamics
  2. Oh, really? Didn't know what velocity and acceleration was. That's why I was able to calculate them. You're very smart aren't you? Took you a while to come up with that, though and no, it's not homework. It's a bogus example asked to understand the concept of s², whereas the better way to put it is indeed (m/s)/s as s² on itself just doesn't make any sense (I believe) - I know that now. Milkey Wilkey and Jacko already explained that very well. When I search in Google for "square second" the very first results it gives me are "meter per second squared". Just an example I made up, not homework or do you think dividing 6 by 1.5 is homework I have to do? Not even related to homework. Homework would be about Newtonian dynamics, if there was any homework.
  3. So are my drawings correct? Should I perhaps switch the axes? Drawing a graph with t² on one side is pointless? You guys are very knowledgeable, there's no doubt about it!
  4. That's correct! Thanks so much for your post - I'll try to understand it. In the meantime I drew the acceleration graph (acceleration from 0 m/s to 6.67 m/s in 5 seconds). I still don't have much of an idea how to draw the s² graph though.
  5. Well, to be quite frank, it doesn't make any sense to me. Can you help me draw that graph?! This is the only thing I managed to get done, which makes sense to me (see attachment), it's about velocity not acceleration.
  6. I live in Germany. Where do you live? What do you mean with y(x²)? We're talking about 1.33 m/(s²), I don't really see how y(x²) is applicable here?
  7. Dear pupils of CnCNet, From my physics studies I know the formula to calculate velocity: v = delta x / delta t Where x is the distance traveled and t the time in which the distance was traveled. So, say I ran 600 meters in 1.5 minutes (= 90 seconds). My mean velocity would have been: v = 600 m / 90 s v = 6.67 m/s (= 24 km/h) Which makes perfect sense. Now comes the interesting part. Say I wanted to calculate my acceleration, the formula would be: a = delta v / delta t Where v is the difference in velocity and t the time in which said difference was attained. So, say it takes me 5 seconds to reach my final speed of 6.67 m/s, my acceleration would be: a = (6.67 m/s) / (5 s) a = 1.33 m/(s^2) What the fuck does this tell me? My acceleration is 1.33 m/(s²), cool, so now, what can I make out of it? I mean I know what a m² (square meter) is. But what the fuck is an s² (square second)? I just can't make anything out of it. Thanks, SiRaLeX
  8. Just a small follow up. My Nexus 5 is going strong as ever! It has got Android 6.0 since 10 days. Which ones would that be? I would still like to know which 140 € phone is better than the Nexus 5. Hint: there is none. :mammoth:
  9. 3/2 Are you teasing me, mate? Different ways to display the same result.
  10. Excellent idea! What's performance like with VMWare? I hope it doesn't lag? Can it do full screen? What if RA2 crashes while quick matching or something and you're "locked" - can you still switch back? My CPU supports: MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSSE3, SSE4.1, SSE4.2, EM64T, VT-x, AES, AVX, AVX2 and FMA3. I'm guessing it should work. Willing to give this a try!
  11. P. S.: I am a wizard P. P. S.: Remove the first "S" to make it work :heady: Snap! Though, it doesn't work in my Firefox at all (I don't have "flash" installed for obvious reasons). It does work for both Chrome and IE12 though since they both come with their own versions. Actually, Chrome just uses the HTML5 version of the YT embed, and doesn't need Flash. I think it's possible to set in your YT profile to always make it use HTML5, which might fix the problem in FF as well. Do you realize what you quoted in your previous post? I told you that Chrome and InternetExplorer come with their own Flash but Firefox does not. Hence your embed is not working in my Firefox. I also told you how to fix it 4 pages ago...
  12. Why aren't you a member of staff? O_o I'd guess it was those higher in the hierarchy...
  13. You're wrong. Chrome uses flash. It just doesn't matter what you enable or don't enable.
  14. Hmm, yeah, sure... Why do you lie to us? Do you believe your own words? http://xwis.net/forums/index.php/topic/181705-cncnet-and-strike-teamnet-merger/?p=1575619 So those people aren't "sponsored"? I guess you could say it's their salary, then!
  15. You might see him as a scumbag but I'm sure he's being honest on this. Why else would he keep bashing on XWIS? Guy is smart and has better things to do. CnCNet has enough $$$ means to sponsor him.
  16. Well, he has close ties with Sean (Tahj). They used to be best buddies or something. Sure, there's a lot of money in CnCNet as well. Not just XWIS.
  17. Nailed it, mate, nailed it! How did you find it?
  18. Windows 7 was the last version that worked well with RA2. If you can go back to that, do it. Only real way if you want to play seriously. My Windows 10 lags terribly, too and there's no fix that worked (tried everything).
  19. Are you on any of Windows 8, 8.1 or 10? If so, then you probably can't help but deal with it.
  20. Yes! It's funny how many idiots (who likely themselves were cheating) were accusing us of cheating 'cause we'd 5-0 them straight. They'd disconnect/wash us in the last game. It was just too much for those low-lifes to take a 5-0 beating and not being able to win once even through cheating. The irony is, both me and Adam have YouTube videos of 1v1 games we played against the players regarded "best" on RA2.
  21. Sup Adam. We raped RA2 in 2v2. Me as the best soviet player on RA2 and you as top tier allied = unbeatable. I don't play anymore, either, though, too busy building my body and school. How are you? Us raping some mapping frenchies on CS 2v2:
  22. That's right. A unit can't damage itself. But it sure as hell can damage any other unit (be it friendly or enemy), be it by accident/miss, target finding or forced fire. The point being, projectiles aren't "smart" as to avoid damaging friendly units.
