In some ways....but idk many maps where sov don't have an equal shot. On ra2, people consider SV/Caverns/Jungle allies maps...but really sov is still very good there. Allies just has more of an even playing field on maps like that. It also seems easier to dodge planes on YR than ra2. I still think korea can be pretty good in 2v2

Yes I came from ra2, but I'm still better than most on YR, especially with allies. In 2v2, I don't think anyone is better than me with allies on either game. Me and max did 2v2s with Tej and Chandler a week or two ago, and some other people like Quix/Sm-Pro/Ic0, and I think we won 7-1 or something when I did not tech quickly one game. I think in those games I didn't tech at all except for 1 game after 3 wars. As long as your m8 is good and can take advantage of the help you give them, there is a lot that allies can do in 2v2 without a lab. WIth 1v1s, there are less situations where you should mass war, but there are still some. You telling me you think allies should tech quickly on heck when SW is on? Fk no. You think allies can't be good with mass wars on jungle or caverns, especially vs a sov player you think will try to tech quickly? Of course it can. Like I said it's all situational and guessing what the other person will do, but I'll leave it at that. We can always do 1v1s/2v2s to see real life examples.

Agreed. Most allied players try to tech fast today as well. On ra2, a Iot of the time I teched faster than almost everyone. But SW is usually off. On YR, I tech quickly sometimes, but in many situations if allieds tries to tech fast, it's free win for the sov if they tech quickly also. So saying allied players should tech fast, or that teching fast is better/more skilful is just wrong. It depends entirely on the map/situation. But zigzag mostly plays sov, and apparently leo mostly plays yuri, so not really sure why either are trying to debate how an allied player should play

I prefer ra2. But ra2 mode will never be real ra2. It's YR with only ra2 units. And regardless of how they try to simulate ra2, it will never fully get there. So if you're on cncnet you might as well just be happy with YR

I'm not talking theory...I'm saying what consistently works for me. Mass griz/rockies/para on many maps is much better to do than tech up, especially if sov is going to go for quick IC. Most people just suck at multi tasking and don't know how to think ahead

I disagree. Teching should be situational. You should be controlling the game or predicting what the sov player will do. Depends on the map and whether it's 1v1/2v2...but for the most part, If they are going to mass war, then you should tech and go for SW. If they are going to tech for IC quickly, you should mass war and press very hard constantly/control the map/make them use IC for defense. Much of the time you will not win mass war vs mass war or tech vs tech when SW is on if skill level is similar. A teched allies is very easy to beat with a quick IC on most maps. So you need to somehow find an advantage and exploit it.

Okay, then 3 months ago you were: 1v1ing a lot on Dune patrol, picking allies, and trying to rush with seal because you said you couldn't win otherwise. Now: you are 1v1ing on a "soviet map", picking allies, sealing someone, and using the map as a justification. Doesn't seem much different to me. I also never said you didn't "understand games". But telling me you were good at candy crush on your phone or w/e other game does not matter to me. Anyways, you assumed wrong. I don't have an opinion about seals. Every once in a while I'll use a seal to kill an IC if I don't see another way to do it. I don't think that's particularly lame. But you definitely won't get better by using seals.

But from what I remember, you pick dune patrol a lot? Why pick a map, pick a faction you think is weak on the map, and then use those 2 things as a reason to seal someone =p

Allies are easier on YR than on ra2 by far. Para is much stronger, and BF can fk a whole army up and basically eliminate desos, which is huge if you have a bunch of mirage/prism tanks. I'm guessing that's why SW have always been on for YR, and why they are usually off on ra2. And most people just 3v3 anyways, which makes controlling the map/splitting a non-issue in most cases because the map is already full, and you have 2 people to help you vs a rush. If SW is off in those cases then allies have a huge advantage. And there is no reason you shouldn't be able to play both sov + allies. If the map seems to favor sov, then either go sov or don't cry. If the map seems to favor allies, then go allies or don't cry.

Oddly enough, while you hosted the other day, you put kireek and ic0 on a team vs me and quix....first game on Offense/Defense. A very campy map, and you put SW off. We won. Next map you put some map that's even campier (dunno the name). But basically we had to attack again, through some very small entrance where they just put mirage and BF on a cliff and sat there all game. We still won. But then the next game I asked if you can turn SW on, or preferably put a map like heck that's not campy, and you refused to do either one, and kireek and ic0 were crying about me asking to have those settings changed as well. I recall you telling me to leave if I was done doing your maps/settings lols. So who is being forced to swallow who's playstyle? =]
