The noble Atreides, the insidious Ordos and the evil Harkonnen. Only one house will prevail.... This forum is for the discussion of Intelligent Games' C&C inspired recreation of Westwood Studios' Dune 2.
Remember the original Command & Conquer? Remember all the units, characters and themes from the game? Remember the gritty feeling of RTS Warfare? Remember Tiberium? Well, that classic game from the early 90's that spawned over a dozen titles and revolutionized the RTS Gaming World has been reincarnated in the advanced 3D World of the C&C Generals Zero Hour SAGE 3D Game engine!
Chemical Warrior from C&C95.
It's not that it's unusable, but it's pretty much just an insanely high teched expensive flamer infantry. And the flame infantry comes from naked infantry production.
I think it's the only unit that we haven't ever used and said "well, that unit actually worked out really well". I just see no real point of playing so much more for something which is already around, and requires higher tech.
Because you made throngs of flame threads, all of which were locked, and then you made even more, about how he wasn't that good and should make public announcements out it. No one cares about stuff like there here, we just want to play the game. Improving is nice, but the game isn't exactly 100% balanced anyway. Not to my knowledge, anyway.
Totally agree with both Lilly and nariac! Yeah, later C&C felt wacky, and even the in game effects sound more real in TD. It maybe has the most realistic sounds out of all the C&C games. I <3 this game on so many levels it's not funny, haha.
Even the simply enough story for C&C; a new resource that changes the economic balance of the world is not all too far fetched. I'd love the the C&C universe to be revised on that level. A more political orientated story set in an alternate modern day. Generals, in many ways, stole that from C&C95... but that actually had no story.
