The link you posted doesn't work. Can you upload "except.txt" from your TS folder? and even if there's a patch of sorts there's a chance that the CnCNet version has something better.

In the folder you installed Mental Omega there should be a file called cncnet.ini can you post the contents of that?

Norton is garbage, it hasn't been useful since the 90's. Uninstall it, it does more harm than good. Microsoft Security Essentials is a good alternative. If you really cannot for some strange reason remove Norton then the only option is to mess around with exclusion settings.

Just updated our forum software from SMF 2.0.6 to SMF 2.0.8. Hopefully this wont cause some abnormalities.

The Renegade dedicated server is pretty useless if no one can find the servers. That is what the Renegade GSA Master Server (or WOL) would let people do. A GSA Master Server clone for Renegade is already running.

Little late with the news... I thought this might be interesting for those of you who play the more modern C&C games such as Generals + Zero Hour, C&C3 + Kane's Wrath and RA3. A little while ago Glu Mobile announced they were shutting down the Gamespy master servers. This will cause all of the hundreds if not thousands of games using Gamespy for multiplayer to cease functioning. Later EA announced that "they couldn't find any alternatives" and posted a list of all EA games using Gamespy, this list included most modern C&C games. C&C: Online is a community initiative to keep online multiplayer running for those games with all their features intact such as buddy lists and such. The official announcement for the project is below. Wish them good luck in their endeavor.

Because the new TS installer isn't done, I don't think it is in a proper releasable state.

The No CD in TS installer 1.2 is a bit buggy (it's EA's one btw) if you feel like doing some beta testing try this new version: http://tore29.com/tsins/TSinstaller3-beta8r3.exe . If you keep crashing try messing around with the renderer setting under options in the launcher. Once I'm done with University for this semester I'll look into that TS installer and hopefully get it in to some sort of releasable state.

Can you provide the link to where you downloaded this stuff? I'm not quite sure what you mean with "your" game.exe and "your" ddraw.dll as I have made none of that stuff. The only way to get my launcher is through this installer and it and the install package and components are unfinished (it's a beta version): http://tore29.com/tsins/TSinstaller3-beta8r3.exe The only way I get good framerates on TS on Win8 (and on Win7) is using ts-ddraw, but that is also experimental and it might crash the game after 10 mins of play.

Old news. This is because the Gamespy servers are being shut down by their "new" owner: Glu Mobile.

You need to name your map files (the ini and bin) correctly. Like scb60ea (the b in the filename means Nod) or scg60ea (the g means GDI).
