  3. The spawn executable is the cncnet version. It's technically only meant for multiplayer. Which of the two gave you the problem?
  4. So basically... Autocreate delays autocreation? Might even prevent it if you add an Autocreate trigger that's never triggered...
  5. As far as I know that bug's mostly related to user rights. Very often, just a reinstall fixes it, as long as you make sure you both install and run the game with administrator rights.
  6. The black framing thing is probably related to your video card's settings. Very often they're set not to stretch content out of its aspect ratio to preserve square pixels, thus resulting in unfilled areas.
  7. seems to me it's falling back to irc.cncnet.org after connecting to gamesurge fails or something. A screenshot that doesn't cut off half of the lines would be handy though.
  8. I believe it's a kind of script or settings thing placed into the map file. Just open it in notepad and remove it.
  9. If you haven't already, you could also try changing the "disable display scaling on high DPI settings" compat option.
  10. They're not mods. They're updates, aimed mostly at compatibility and internal bug fixes... so I don't see much reason not to install them

  12. It's an anti-spambot feature. As long as a user does not have five approved posts, every single one of their posts will be held for moderator review. So unless a spambot manages to give five constructive forum posts before it starts spamming, its crap will never show up for regular users. And hey, if that means someone will write spambots that do manage to make constructive posts... as XKCD said, mission fucking accomplished
  13. It seems completely ridiculous for the launcher to launch the cncnet-specific exe for single play though... But, yea. Just start RA95.exe from the game folder.

The way modding works in the C&C games is generally by overriding the whole files in which the original game is configured, meaning a mod technically overrides the whole game (but usually only changes parts of these files). This means that from the moment internal stats are changed, and not just external assets (like sound/graphics), you can never combine multiple mods. If you just mean mods that install themselves on launch and remove themselves afterwards... that generally needs to be a feature of the mod itself. Mods can usually be installed in different ways, so the mod is generally the only thing that knows exactly how it's installed.

  19. Yea, in your playthrough you triggered their "sell everything" logic by destroying all production facilities, so I suppose they sold that turret too at that point.

  21. So use something else, that's free? LAME is the most popular free MP3 converter; it's a plugin that is supported/required by hundreds of audio apps to allow them to write MP3. Come now. flac is just an audio encoding. Any codec pack will allow you to play it with apps that use the standard Windows multimedia plugins system. Heck, as far as I know, Winamp can play flac out of the box. You don't seem to know what "lossless" means. MP3 is a lossy format, plain and simple. mp3hd still uses mp3 compression, it just saves the files in higher quality. ...to do what, exactly? As I said, I have the soundtracks, ripped straight from the soundtrack CDs, as flac, and that's the way I like 'em. :heady: btw, that link asks for a "decryption key". I can't access it.
  22. Well, yes, but you said "autocreate/production". Actual "Create Team" triggers don't require that. You mean they just spontaneously form without any trigger cause? O_o I thought that was just a multiplier though... it causes the units to be created, but surely it can't just create the team without any trigger?
