  1. How many people here have tried these two on Win10? I know there is known issues but how is the OS breaking the games so much? When I launch RA2/YR from the main EXE the game runs really slow and sometimes the menu is slow but when launched thru cncnet5 from skirmish or online the game runs crystal clear. Also Tiberian Sun has a problem when I click anything on the menu it comes up blank so I have to hit ESC key to get back to the menu and just like RA2 ingame runs really slow and booting up a skirmish game thru cncnet5 does not work for some reason. Edit: TS was tested with/without ddraw results are the same.
  2. I think the function is somewhat bugged... if you capture the naval yard it nukes you but if you build a naval yard or destroy it the mig doesn't do anything.... I also use to sit forever in the mission long time ago and the Nuke Mig would eventually just nuke me till i'm dead probably because it's two main missions was destroying buildings and units and all i had was my little base for it to take out.
  3. The Nuke Mig seems to bomb nonstop if you attempt to capture the naval yard. It also has a scripted time limit intill it bombs non stop.
  4. This kinda sounds like a similar bug I explained to Nyerguds one time ago. Once in a while playing Nod Special Ops 2 where later during the game practically when you build a War Factory the game stops letting you build any units! It will just be stuck on ''Ready'' and nothing happens. I use to get this bug a long time ago on the N64 version of the game but it seems this bug orginated from the PC version when it went straight to console form.

    Map Size

    Usually because mapmakers won't utilise map sizes to their fullest. Does anyone know what the largest WW mission map size is? (I'm confident it isn't 126x126) The largest overall mission I could find was Proving Grounds at 96x96 but another one like Time Flies is 102 x 88 also I believe the max optimal size for missions is probably 124 x 124 with x=2 and y=2 as reinforcement scripts need room to work smoothly and projectiles use to crash the game when going over the map at the max size but thankfully been fixed
  6. The offical names are within the ini's themselves like scg05ea.ini has: Name=Tanya's Tale but it's variants has no name. I also noticed some missions have no name at all like scg06ea.ini but that site seemed to of filled it in.
  7. I wanted to make a nice small map where naval mattered so hopefully i managed to achieve that in this map. Also i never tested the balance but I did try to put thought into to it so if you play it with somebody give me some feedback! RIVERSI0.zip
  8. The only logic i hope that isn't 100% copied is the horrible path finding. Also is the cncnet dev channel down? freenode gives me this ''[17:44] == #cncnet Cannot join channel (+k) - bad key''
  9. Personally i always liked the Counsterstrike and Aftermath button in 3.03, maybe you should move the Movies and Intro & Sneak Peak into a Options button then add Custom Mission.

    AI buildings

    AI is coded by westwood to build a radar dome after a airstrip or helipad is built and that is when they build a tech center but often sell it after it's built and would rarely keep it unless they are loaded with cash. Iran removed the helipad/airstrip check and i think this is enabled for cncnet.
  11. Go to Windows Features where it reads ''Turn Windows features on or off'' look for ''Legacy Components'' and check mark it and click OK and Windows will download and install directplay. Note: You can click the start menu and type a letter on the keyboard to open up the search menu and find it there.
  12. There is a small bug for RAED. The preview for SBAG CYCL BRIK and BARB are missing but display fine when placed. Also i suggest adding the .mix where aftermath.ini is loaded since RAED can read and save the .ini to the directory which is a useful feature.
  13. Sole Survivor is already sorta a MMO infact players were able to join in the middle of a battle! You could probably further mod it to what you would want in it!
  14. Play Red Alert with a tech level of 1 and good luck trying to kill your enemy with nothing but infantry against flame towers and pill boxes.

    The Ukrainian country should have faster gound units but it's possible that map has custom bonuses for each country.
  17. You better keep the c&c95 theme updated when you change the fourms, you don't wanna neglect us old c&c fans.

  20. Love the mortar guy he could actually fit in that one Aftermath mission ''Brothers In Arms'' because one of the Molotov brothers fires a mortar like weapon.
  21. I think you forgot to mention the PS1 missions Nyerguds also put in his patch. ^^
  22. They are still crushable right? I mean it's been a while but I remember them being crushable in the N64 version of C&C precisely. lol I watched a GDI Mammoth Tank crush my recon bikes but the smaller stuff couldn't.
  23. The menu freezing is a intel HD problem but lately my cousin had a driver update for the intel HD 2000 onboard graphics and this update fixed the frozen screen and we no longer have to fool with various tweaks to get it playing.

RAED is the best editor for RA1 ever and beats the editors for C&C95 by a mile imo. it's pretty advanced with a few annoyances and it can make skirmish maps you just have to make a .mpr map with edwin or with the RAED launcher (Which you gotta use to open .mpr directly because RAED wont find any) funky has then you can build the map plus you can tweak it's mapsize in the built-in .mpr or .ini editor!
  25. The ranger being a open topped unit should have really good view range making it the perfect scout. You could also have the regular pillbox as a cheaper variant for anyone low on ore just lower the price and maybe HP!
