  2. Strange you should mention it, but I happened to recently when someone (probably Nyer) mentioned there being scripting to lure the mammoths away from the base. It took me a few tries, but once your base is up and running, it's pretty easy to destroy the base. I think it's purposely designed to be beaten either way. A lot of the teamtypes have "attack base" as their only command as opposed to moving through a bunch of particular waypoints first.

  4. Damn.... I just saw that! First thing I did was sell my eastern guard towers... This mission is truly a testament to how much stuff can be going on at once on a map! Though it was a little weird having to force-fire on one of "my" structures. And what's up with dark grey? It seemed as though they were attacking me, but I had to force-fire on them...

  6. Yes, but what I mean is your harvester docks into the ally ref. You resign. Everything else blows up and shroud is revealed. Your harvester undocks and you're back in the game?

Well, OMGWTF got my map-making wheels spinning with this topic, so, of course, I couldn't stop until I was done with this: Took it for a spin earlier and within 2 minutes, 2 of 5 players were dead.... 1 within 30 seconds! I might remake it with a bigger pentagon, since I think I'm the only person who uses the outside "islands," and they're pretty useless in a game this fast-paced. Still good fun.   12. oooh... if autocreate is not checked off, the AI will automatically produce 100 of that team. Kind of overkill, because unless it's a team of 1 technician, it's unlikely that 100 teams will be produced before the player starts killing them.   13. I'd say this is the main problem with the "huge collection" because there are some real gems in there, but it's a little daunting like finding the needle in the haystack. And now it's gotten so huge, that it seems quite an undertaking to separate the good/great from the rest. I had started making a list of the good ones, but I think I lost it when I reformatted my computer :0 I'd definitely separate the good ones first and then save editing/fixing others till a later date. Just my opinion
  14. If it's explained in some sort of mission context, I'd have less of a problem with it... "We (Nod) have stolen 20 mammoth tanks and can mind-control visceroids, now destroy everything!" But unfortunately it never is!
  15. Oh yeah, they only play on Tib garden 2. With the starting units, I just load an engi in my apc and take over one of them. As far as banning or whatever, I don't personally think that's necessary. If they wanna circle-jerk each other, good for them And sadly, sometimes I can only log on in the middle of the night and they'll be the only people playing. I'll be desperate enough for a game and play them but I just look at it as practice. Lol I remember back in the cncnet4 days, these 2 tards named kolyados and peps would do the same thing. As soon as the game started they'd both try to apc rush me. Ah, it was awesome when I beat both of them. Kolyados (who was Russian, I think) kept trying to insult me in broken English. Repeatedly kept calling me a "son of a beach!" I seriously fell off my chair in fucking laughter!
  16. same goes for meow and littlejohn_ (aka martin) played ffa with them and they both built like 20 orcas and ganged up. when I resigned, they didn't really seem interested in fighting each other. Next game they wouldn't play me if I was Nod. Played Martin in 1v1 couple days later and he denied being friends with meow which was obviously not true. Totally gay. I love that I can see people's previous names so I know who I'm really dealing with!
  17. Yeah I guess I didn't mention that in the tutorials because I hate when I see that stuff... In fact, I guess I missed a great opportunity to say how I equate it to sacrilege Once in a while I'll play some of the huge collection and as soon as I see a Chinook/apc unload 5 tanks and 20 infantry I abort mission and move on to the next one.... (everytime I see a Nod mammoth tank, too)
  18. Yeah, what's strange is that it's the campaign/new mission .exe and not the one updated by cncnet. I am, however, using the "extended sidebar" .exe Iran (I think) sent me eons ago. I even tried changing the Nod edge from north to east and weird shit was still happening. I've started looking at the map edges just outside the border in the original missions for clues.
  19. Well I can't think of a more pathetic thing than someone cheating at these old-ass games and I can definitely see the validity of most of the viewpoints being expressed here. But I think there's some realities to face. First of all, this isn't anybody's full time job so the dedication needed to constantly monitor and investigate allegations of cheating just isn't there. It's an easy accusation to toss around-- even when I was noob I sometimes suspected people of cheating, but I know now that they were just astronomically better than me. Also, I'd imagine cheaters would be a little more proficient at getting around a ban than your average player. I like the "wall of shame" idea, but again, what proof would be required to make these accusations? As we've seen here recently on the forums, it only takes one person making "wall of text" claims to slander someone. I suppose I'm lucky though being strictly a TD player since it is such a small community and I just plain know who to avoid. (I don't believe anyone is actively cheating there, though)
  20. video 6 is up... this time it's Autocreate, DZ at 'z', & some weird refinery/harvester details. Also see a c-17 freak out and do weird circles around the airstrip...... still trying to figure that one out!
  21. With a score that low, the build level must've been set to 1 or 2. I've noticed it has a LOT to do with that. If it was build level 98, it probably would've been around 4000 iirc.

  23. Well, got some good players together to test the 3 vs. 2 map. check it out! With pros like Jacko and cn2mc however, it seems the bonus CY is not needed. So this is the (hopefully) final version of the map. As pictured above, but just no CY. It was suggested to replace it with a comm. center, but I think I'll just leave it be for now.....
