my acount was hacked and my anti virus deleted c&c.net from my compurter
FunkyFr3sh replied to VaporMaster0420's question in Support
Norton deletes files because of low reputation, NOT because it found a virus. Was the message norton was showing you "WS-Reputation" or "Suspicious.Cloud" ? You can ignore these messages, like i said, thoise have nothing to do with viruses. If it was a different message then tell us the message AND the file name where norton found it so we can contact norton so they can fix their problems Check your norton logs and give us more details -
Time to bump an super old thread I updated ccconfig, get it here: http://funkyfr3sh.cncnet.org/files/td/CCConfig.exe

this only happens in the first missions cause the maps are very small, you can try a skirmish game and you will notice there is no problem like this there is nothing we can do about it, you could play the first missions in a lower resolution if you prefer to have it looking different check the readme.txt in the readme folder DPI scaling is really a bad idea, it can break programs and all it does it changing your resolution to something lower anyways. You should never use it, you better change your windows resolution directly instead The patcher detects DPI scaling and applies some special rules to get the game working with it, i added that recently but it was not tested so well (i hope your game works without crashes using it) I could not record gameplay with dpi scaling, my game kept crashing, while others couldnt see the full sidebar since some things were drawing outside of the screen

strange, it connects to the server but drops right away... don't think it is the firewall do you have ipv6?
-
Maybe your connection is just unstable, there is nothing we can do

if you like to start modding then get XCC Mixer from here: http://xhp.xwis.net/ it allows you to extract rules.ini and many other files you can mod too (sounds, graphics, maps...)

The idea of the devs was for sure different, yes But people have been playing the game for so many years and they found the best possible ways to play it Check our youtube channel, i recorded some games with good players and uploaded them over there, maybe it helps you guys to understand how the game is played. It is all about speed and hotkeys https://www.youtube.com/user/CnCNetOfficial/videos Exactly. And honestly, even if a good player is not rushing then he will still win the game if it lasts longer just because of his experience
-
that is what the games are about, learn how to defend rushes (people also call this "jewing") and then counter attack and win Use bookmarks and the move and fire hotkey to shoot down the tanks before they reach your base

I updated my editor launcher, it comes with a map browser now Maybe that helps to find a good map to edit without the need to open them and scroll around to check it Copy it into your game folder and replace the existing file: http://funkyfr3sh.cncnet.org/files/ra/RedAlertEditorLauncher.exe

TS Windows 8 Mouse Lag and Invisible Menu issues
FunkyFr3sh replied to pawittangtim's topic in Tiberian Sun
ah, nice the ts-spawn.exe is just for multiplayer tho, not sure if it will work perfectly for single player (just wanted to know if the fix works), i will prepare a proper patch tomorrow that works perfectly for single player and we will release a full installer for singleplayer soon too -

Did you try my fix too? It should not have the map preview problems. TS-DDraw is still beta, it was never released, there might be more problems you will run into -

could you please try the mini mutliplayer tiberian sun download from here? http://cncnet.org/download i did some win8 updates recently, the menu problem and the low FPS were fixed with that update, if it works for you then i will make a patch for it so you can use it with other TS installation too You can also try to take the ts-spawn.exe from the multiplayer package and put it into your full installation folder to have the fix working there too (please do not rename the file, it must have the name ts-spawn.exe) If you copy the ts-spawn.exe to your full game folder then make sure you remove the file named "ddraw.dll" from the game folder (this file was added by the other workarounds you used) Window mode might not work (not sure) test it in fullscreen first -
The order is different on each type of map, here are some examples for tankers: Infinite ore: Power Barracks Refinery War Factory War Factory Advanced Power War Factory War Factory War Factory War Factory War Factory (Only Soviets needs 7 Wars, Allies stop at 6) Refinery Depot Gem Money Maps Power Barracks Refinery War Factory War Factory Advanced Power War Factory Refinery War Factory Refinery War Factory Advanced Power Refinery War Factory Refinery War Factory (Only Soviets needs 7 Wars, Allies stop at 6) Refinery depot Standard Map: Power Barracks Refinery War Factory War Factory Refinery Advanced Power Refinery Refinery Refinery War Factory (More Refineries... Depends on the size of the map)

hi teejay! Welcome to CnCNet I hope all our game downloads are working fine on your windows 8.1, please let us know if there are any problems so we can try to solve them! About the tunnel server, you can run them fine on linux. Like tore said, all you need is java Here is how you start the tunnel on linux: java -jar cncnet-tunnel.exe -name "My Cool Tunnel Server" -maxclients 32 -headless With default settings, you need to have port 50000 open both UDP and TCP You can download the latest version here: http://cncnet.org/files/cncnet-tunnel.exe

does not work atm, was disabled cause the game keeps crashing when it is turned on

Nyer.... READ.

The game is crashing sometimes, it is normal even on windows But it should not crash all the time, we usually play games with the length of 10-15mins and 1 out of 50 games is crashing. If you play longer games then the chance is higher ofc, it seems like using air units raises the chance for crashes. It could also be one of the new game options (e.g. Build off ally) causing the crash he cannot use that one if he likes to play online, cncnet is using different files for online games
-
http://cncnet.org/files/cncnet.exe start the game via this file, then go to multiplayer - network with luck you will find 1-2 players there
-
I removed your ban since it was the first time and you were honest Please make sure you close such programs when you play on cncnet to ensure you dont trigger them by accident. Also, some people are playing online since many years, in these old games it is all about fast clicking and a good production, you will need a couple of months of practice until you are able to compete with them The build order is also very important, you have to make sure you never run out of money Check these guides if you like to improve: http://cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?topic=3172.msg21953

One of us crashes every single game
FunkyFr3sh replied to wants2playbutcantsadface's question in Support
Well, normally you can turn these programs off and it will work, but some of them are really bad (e.g. Norton/Comodo) and you cannot turn them off completely ports are always open in LAN
