Sounds very promising! I will look at these at some point.
-
yeah these would work really well with the dino missions.
-
Allen you can consult alley for a solution to the capture/defend, because he has one.
-
yeah custom trigger mapping wasn't something that C&C95 was built for
-
certain missions you have made will cause crashes, its normally a bit of a task to try and find what causes it. If you're fairly new to mission making this can happen quite frequently (I am speaking from experience)

looks fancy glad to see you've fixed the buggy, that thing was completely overpowered.

Crate Minimum/maximum are defining of crates spawning numbers, which is simple I guess. Crate Radius is area of effect (i.e. firepower bonus goes to all units in this radius etc) Crate Regen is rate of crate spawning UnitCrateType can be used to force a certain unit to appear from every crate that is randomly selected to give a unit (i.e. 2tnk always gives a medium tank for a unit) With powerups the Variables work like this: (Powerup Type - armour and cloak etc are each possible crate type), Then the first variable is the relative frequency at which they spawn (sum up all the numbers and then divide your variable by that total), so a higher number has then spawn more often. The Text after says what animation to play, and there I think are things like Earth.shp and other bits in the MIX files. The final variable is dependent on the crate type, and is its game parameter, i.e. the game uses this value as its output, if it needs one. This is used for things like Money income or ability multipliers (like firepower). things like giving support weapons, units and certain others do not need this parameter value. The recharge time is for any weapon/support that you activate yourself (like paratroopers, nukes etc) and is measured in minutes on the slowest speed setting. hope this helps.

Hey Guys sorry for the long wait, I have had a visit to the LHC in Cern, and done some college related stuff. But I've uploaded a basic map-pack and the source rules.ini for everyone to use, you can convert your own maps. See the top post.

Problems/issues: 1. They were never included in the PC versions of RA, which is a bit strange. There's a download somewhere to get them 2. I'm not 100% sure, but either these options haven't been sorted or they don't work online correctly, and have been disabled Requests: 1. There's nothing wrong with the country bonuses, Greece, Spain and Turkey were never meant for multiplayer, but were added in anyway. They have no bonuses at all. When using cncnet5 ALL allied nations (England, France, Germany, Turkey, Greece, Spain) have the firepower boost that Germany has, this was done instead of fixing the England and France Bug (seems kinda weird but nobody cares too much). 2. See what I wrote for Problem/Issue #1, but you can;t find it anywhere, you would probably have to create the sound yourself or search though all the MIX files until you find it. 3. It's very difficult if not impossible to fix homing weapon logic. It's possible it is hardcoded, I would agree its a bit of a pain but it's unavoidable. 4. For using these in Cncnet5 there might be a button to enable but if not then on a map you want to play you have to edit the unit entries and paste them into the map to modify it. The reason these units aren't used so much is its potential to totally change the game and how they may be considered overpowered (Phase Transport more so - imagine the Tanya rushes with that) 5. I don't understand the problem, are your units too spread out or...? I'm not a dev but a frequent player, most of these answers come from experience, knowledge or some strange source I don't understand.

if its first allied missions either you have some external mission installed or you've forgotten to actually put einstein in the helicopter

C&C3 and Kanes Wrath has no obvious DRM features but you do need a EA login for multiplayer (not that I can be bothered to play multiplayer) If you want a more updated version of tiberian dawn then C&C3 is your closest bet, with a lot of faction structure and Gameplay similar to the original, only in 3D (and bikes aren't OP anymore either)

we've moved from unit queuing to complaining about game speed. You've made one topic complaining about it already and you've hijacked this one here with it. Personally I don't think queuing is a necessity that has to be added to red alert, its worked fine for 17 years without it and it's only coming to discussion because those who played the later games seemingly can't live without it.

imaging the colours in order from yellow to brown as the numbers 1-8 multi1 is the first number, multi2 is the 2nd number etc if 2 players were red and blue, blue=2 and red=3, therefore the blue player would be multi1 and the red player multi2
-
If you use multi1 and multi2 then player 1 spawns as multi1 and player 2 spawns at multi2
-
looks a little bit strange with units on the shorelines (see the first screenshot with the rifleman on the shore)
-
yeah I think Aftermath and Counterstrike missions are supposed to fit in with their faction's respective storylines
-
RA2 queues could only go up to 30. but at the end of the day you only want to queue because you could in RA2, well we can't in RA1 and I'm not sure anyone wants to bother implementing it
-
oh I never knew that, that's good to know
-
you need to expand the resolutions of both boxes for it to work, otherwise you expand the screen but not the actual game screen (basically a big black square)
-
ok, this explains why everything magically disappears this means one of your saves/files is bad, got corrupted and crashes raed's map loading system. you will need to search through the map directory and find the bad ini or mpr file. it is usually 0kb size so its not hard to find then. Delete it and your problems should be fixed
-
no no no you might've changed the save path accidentally, I.e. it might be saving all your new stuff to a random folder If this is not a problem do you get an error every time you try and load up the map selection?
-
yes The AI in that mission was only told to repair the construction yard and the refinery although it does rebuild things after a while unless something blocks where its supposed to be rebuilt
-
you might've changed the path to which it saves to, and raed can only load from the folder its located in.
-
whats the problem with raed? It has a few minor bugs but I've never heard of this
-
took out cncnet too. why?
