  1. To bad that the game is limited in options. +10% only is indeed not worthwhile in the original game. But you can still add it if this upgrade is cheap. After all, I assume the tiberium fields are longer lasting than the original supply stacks. If an upgrade costs for example 500. Then it would require the harvester to make 8 trips before it is worthwhile. How many trips does an harvester make in the entire mission? In a well balanced game, +10% is a lot. But as TaxOwlbear has said. Higher costs and lower efficiency will make them only worthwhile if they are well protected. That brings me to the next point. How good are you in altering AI? Because what I never liked about Generals is that how the AI ignored, my 1000 hackers. If you can bring the AI to targeting the silo's, all those extra required defences also add up to the silo "costs".

  3. O right, forgot that having several for one side doesn't add any more. You might want to experiment with it though. To see which houses can make use of this structure. I think it would make a great addition for "survival" maps if you know how to apply properly.

  5. Those are nice adjustments. Can you also increase the energy costs? Meaning that if you go for a camping strategy. You need a lot of space for silo's and power plants. But besides this solution. Down here is a total new (old) idea to use. Borrowed from Warcraft 2, the TownHall/GreatHall. And be honest in what is possible and what is not. Have you ever thought of making the silo's some sort of addon to the Refinery instead? Meaning that once someone builds an Refinery, a silo simply upgrades each full harvester with for example +10% resources?? Thus no more buildable silo's. Instead, upgrading the Refinery. First upgrade could be 150, the second 300 and a third 450. Thus making it more valid to have one refinery with several separate builded harvesters. The costs of a refinery would be: "600", 750, 1050, 1500. And the refinery will provide better income. 100%, 110%, 120%, 130%. Also allow the refinery to have more compliment health after each upgrade. Lineair to the total costs but the income bonus is substracted: 100%, 115%, 155%, 220%. (You can make round numbers of these of course) I don't know. But I think players will like this more than the infinity awards. Just shooting an idea. If you like this idea. You can still try your own value's that you think are good. You can also say, less or more silo's to add to the refinery. I think, that whatever plan you use. You will have to make sure it fits on the space that the first refinery requires. The models that you have made, can you make them smaller? That way they can be added to the refinery. If you still want to place the silo's as separate buildings. Then perhaps linking them to a refinery (only then they get the function), upgrading the refinery in that process. Only making the harvester load more.

  8. That was nice to watch. The balance seems a bit off. Curious of what rules are used. That medium tank was facing 6 light tanks. And waved his goodbye's for 3 seconds. I am sure you were playing at the highest speed. sgtmyers88 Those silo's make the game too easy. Perhaps you can come up with something different approach? A limit to them? Higher energy costs? Higher costs? Perhaps only one to function to every Refinery?
  9. I wonder when I will drop my "finish this mission with only infantry" card. Rocketeers. Love to have 100 of them. But only against AI . AI is stupid in this game.
  10. Great to hear that you will do them all. I think that a lot of people are wondering if you also will do the aftermath etc. missions of Red Alert. Afterall, you did them for TD as well.
  11. I just tested this. Yes you can. Also trapped the truck in that mission. Destroyed everything except the truck. To bad they don't give you a bonus for that. I loved these series. And will continue to watch your red alert 2 series. Would like to know if you are going to do the Tiberian Sun missions too after Red Alert 2?

  13. Perhaps 1 AGT and one GT as team defence would do better against bikes/buggies. This because the AGT has a better durability if the enemy shoots on the GT first. But if they want to get to the AGT, then the GT will have the enemy in range. Very effective against bikes if you take the time for the tower(s) to focus fire. Maybe better than 2 mediums. But I am not sure. And no doubt that the turret would be a good replacement for the GT once you got tech from both sides. What do you think?
  14. It looks like you are making an awesome mod. 1 question though. Do I need to own Generals to play it? Or is it stand alone? I also enjoy these video's a lot. The gameplay looks so fluid in contrary with my memory of Generals.
  15. Somehow i feel that an agt is not worth it if you can have 1.25 medium for it. I only have a few around for anti air. Is there any other valid option to have them?

  17. To increase your fanbase. Accept the loss. And make it funny while at it. I can't find, the, video, where he lost. But I recommend Artega Omega for you (or any one else here) to watch. You might get some inspiration from it. Watch the TD series since they are complete. There is a decent dry amount of dry humour in it. You might like it (or hate it).   18. This, I did this on a regular basis in my starcraft days. Made me happy. Made my friends happy. Made my frenemies also happy. I wonder if I still have that "bots flame the player and beat him" map. Always fun to see someone like that struggling and returning in the channel. Can someone make a scripted 1v1 map where he gets flamed constantly by the AI? But seriously. I hope he finally gets a life.
  19. When movement is restricted and large quantities are used. The medium tank will surely win. I started playing the single player missions again. And thought of trying each mission with light tanks first. I noted that some situations prefer you to use medium tanks. Of shore support against submarines. Choke point defences. Landing on the beach. It is durability and range that support in these cases. Also the concentration of strength matter here. Having a mix of tanks did help in some early missions. But you better safe up and get medium tanks only in the later missions. I wonder what happens when the light tank faces a medium tank while both tanks move with Q. (I have started to use APC against V2 and infantry instead of the Light tanks.)
  20. You restarted this mission, didn't you? Your V2 clearly has more health suddenly. Doesn't matter. This is one of those missions that I dislike doing. Just like the chrono protect mission.
  21. I forgot about that mission. As I can recall. (lots of)Migs/(4?)Yaks and paratroopers/bombs where my tools entirely. With a wall of submarines just like how you did. And 2 x 8 heavy tank defence. No tesla's since I used my energy and space for the migs/yaks.
  22. I like that you explain the difference between the obelisk of light versus the tesla coil. This is also my favorite mission of the sovjets.

  24. Seeee EA, the community can do this, itself. No need for them to "remaster" TD. No need for that peptition either. I cheer for this mod!!
  25. Well, that isn't just 10%. That is a whole lot more speed. Perhaps there are 2 versions of the rifle infantry on that map.
