  2. May I suggest, trying to make everything movable/buildable on water. Then replace the water with the Dune "buildable" terrain. Structures should not be buildable on normal land. Which is in its turn replaced by the Dune sand. But ore still grows on the sand. I love it, that someone is attempting this.

  4. The current 6 games installed: Dune 2, ProjectY, Warfare Inc., OpenTTD, Mad Dex, PvZ2 I think I can have 10 times the amount if I remove PvZ2. That game is bigger than 1 gig when in need for an update. Dune 2 will never be erased manually. Since it isn't in the play store any more.
  5. CY in red + 1 apache = dead And you can have 4 before the opponent has a factory/airfield. Players often have, when anticipating air, only like 6 to 8 rocket soldiers ready at that point? If you want to keep the communications centra in this map. Perhaps you can do something about them being taken over. Can you place walls around them? Prefarably concrete? Then players need to bash through first, before an engineer can get in.
  6. That map looks good. I don't think, there will be much turtling. Instead, I suspect too, an airstrike rush with some apaches or orca's will end the game soon.

  8. 11/10 < 10/9 Is that what you mean Funky? It is funny how France is supposed to be better, according to the numbers. But Germany still is better. Could it be the first shot damage? Or has using the hotkey Q something to do with it all? How is the splash damage calculated? I am curious about that one. Maybe France is weaker and Germany is stronger according to rounding to whole numbers?? If that is done any way? Dividing by 2, gives 15 and 17 damage. Which is 13,3% in difference in damage.

  13. Ok. 4 things to keep in mind. Smallest issue +10% isn't the same as -10% 110/100 < 100/90 1,1 < 1,11 Thus we have 10% compared to 11% Second issue +10% damage isn't the same for all combinations. You need to see what kind of change you see in the number of hits. Theoratically, this could go from +0 to +200%. So, I advice to set up a table of every possible weapon against every possible target for a faction. And compare it to the default. The average should be +10%. If not, adjust the basic bonus. The same goes for ROF, +10% isn't true. You don't spend time on the first hit for most weapons. The effects can be the same theoratically, +0 to +200%. Third and most important issue That -10% on costs. With the given above, is actually 2 times +11%. Most wargames treat units as a body and weapon. Normal units have a 50%-50% distribution between body and weapon. Walls are 100% body. And glass cannons are close to 100% weapon. Now, if most units are these 50-50 units. And the average of the entire army should be 50-50. Then +10% damage would mean 50-55. This is 105%. -10% costs can be regarded as a 111% unit. The only thing that nerves this 111% unit is a money map. Where costs don't matter. But on money maps, you also have that -10% build time. Which works on army size AND resource managment. Skilled players on money maps will always pick Turkey. And on low money maps, it will be Russia. Last issue +10% speed? Does that even have use on small maps? Or is the reduced damage still in effect on faster units? I think, that the only things you should play with are: ROF, damage and health. Don't adjust build time and costs if the maps are very different. But if the money is fixed and relatively low for every map, you can add them without problems. Adjusting build time requires a lot of play testing. Why no adjustment on range for a faction? I think, that others have their own view on these things. But I like the math side of games.

  15. Could you perhaps make some video's, that highlight certain unique (if not all) units? And how you came to their initial designs? Some constructive criticism by oppinion: Those faction bonuses at page one, need some more thought to them. In sufficient usefulness and balance.

  18. Please share the calculations when ready. I am curious. Take your time!! That is a common advice any way. Because rushing will do you no good. €60 would be a max from the first pictures shown. But I am a generous person. As said before; the "tough" crowd for professional advice and oppinions are to be at BGDF and BGG. Production costs plus shipping is often between 50% and 75%. Thus they should only be €30 to €45 per game. It's all about accepting "saying goodbye" to your own game. That a project needs to change, if you want money to roll. If not, it will remain a hobby (my case) I think, it is wise to go back to topic. 3D printed miniatures. The board game should have a topic in one of those other forums. I wonder though, how did you know about the on demand, Taxowlbear?

  20. Nice, very nice. Extremely nice. And I feel you on the, "they took my job" part. Question: What if you completely changed the game into something "modern warfare" like? I mean, that players will only think that it is remotely something to C&C after playing. So, artwork needs to change. Names too. That is, if you don't want have to do anything with EA games. And I think, that should be your goal. Suggestion: Go to BGDF, if you don't already know about them. They are sort of official. And see what they can do for you. After that, the next step would be BGG. Both sites, just for advice on things. Since I am a rookie on BGDF and a ghost on BGG. Others are well known (self)publishers. Starters and veterans. You can ask them any thing regarding a board game. Emotion: Well, I have something similar. But different in many, many aspects. C&C could be an option with my rules as well. But your pictures show me a WOW and COOL kind of emotion. But also a proud one, that someone managed to get it complete. And known at EA games. I am stuck with crappy paper and crappy artwork at the moment. Well, you know, "life" gets in the way.

    G- line?! Most here have trouble finding just one spot! Serial now. How about trying to get your IP refreshed? Either by making it unbanned. Or getting a new one by requesting your provider... one way or another.
  23. Well, I have to give Jacko, some credit. That helped me once. Choosing a lesser windows is often one of the best solutions to start with. But personally, most problems end when you don't go into window's mode at all. It isn't UT99! But instead go full screen instead?? F12 anyone? eft-whelf ef-thwelf! Well, it cannot fix things, but it also will screw up. So I guess, it is a choice to try out.

    This thread has given me a WTF moment. All those maps where a random truck with a gas station is placed in the middle of nowhere. It belongs in a village!
