ERROR: closing link? Can not connect

Hi so have been playing for months and last week I went to play online and CnCnet won't connect.... this is what I get:

*connecting

**looking up your host name

**** checking ident

*** found your hostname

**** no ident response

ERROR: closing like: sharny....... (server)

(USER: Bad username)

 

Can anyone help me? I don't know what has gone wrong??

This is a problem related to he gamesurge servers, they're working on it already. Nothing we can do from here, we'll have to wait until it's done.

For the most users it works though, it just fails twice and then it connects. (1 of their servers is working)
